Some interesting things to see along this route (in black, 116mi). I'll be driving it in May. The black marker is a Gilsonite vein that's been mined completely so it appears as a long crack in the earth.

The pink route will take you up and over Douglas Pass.

Imogene pass would be a sweet ride. If the trail is fully open. It will take you from Telluride to Ouray. The trail may be partially closed depending on how much snow is still on the ground when you go. There are a lot of 4 wheeling trails in the Ouray area.
Moab wouldn’t be too far from Fruita, and lots of trails there to explore.

I've done the pink route. It's a really enjoyable drive and might make a good return trip option when you're done playing off road.

if you guys get in trouble and need to call a tow, my buddy tanner will probably be the truck showing up. he covers all those areas since he lives in grand junction. and my other buddy aaron will be the black Hennesy raptor you see there. his is the goosetuned one i talk about on here. he loves going out on the trails so if you need someone to go on a ride, i can call him and let him know whats up

@superj any idea what GMRS channel folks normally monitor out there. I've tried 16, but seems most are using what works for a group. That's what we did last September, but for someone out solo, I wonder what channel some might be monitoring.

Notarubicon in the YT channel suggested 16 in one of his vids a couple of years ago.
