I found an on line (on the 5g forum) service manual for the 2019 5G ranger trans and engine.
Anyone know of one for the 2025 6G ranger?

I bought the service manual from Helm, which is on a USB thumb drive. It cost $323, so you really have to want one. The one I bought previously for my 2017 Chevy SS was in .pdf form and could only be opened with Adobe Acrobat. This one installs an icon on your computer that you double click on to open the manual when the thumb drive is installed in your computer's USB port. It does not come with instructions, so I had to figure that part out.

And I see that the manuals are 'Windows' impaired. They explicitly say they don't work on 'Apple' and /iOS operating systems. So I deduce they don't work on OS X and a bunch of other operating systems.

How much detail is in it?
Does it have 3D views and exploded views of assemblies?

I have not looked through the whole thing yet, but so far, I have found it very descriptive in describing how stuff works. For instance, tonight I was reading the section describing the transmission operation and found that from a dead stop, it will skip gears depending on the throttle application. It will do the same when slowing down.

There are lots of 3D views and exploded diagrams. The components being discussed in the 3D views are in color, while the rest of the component, like the transmission, will be kind of a ghost image. The one thing I do not like is that the image resolution leaves a bit to be desired. You can right click on the image to bring up a window that allows you to magnify the image under “More Tools”. The magnified image is not particularly sharp, though.

All of the engine and transmission dimensional specs are there.

There are lots of acronyms, but fortunately you do not have to memorize all of them. Most have a row of dotted lines under the acronym. If so, holding your cursor over the acronym will show its meaning.

There are colored wiring diagrams for everything.

I found it worth the money mostly due to my mechanically inquisitive nature and wanting to know how stuff works. However, I will probably rarely need to use it if this truck is actually Built Ford Tough. In roughly 60 years of driving, the only other Ford I have owned was a ’92 Mustang LX 5.0 notchback that I put over 160,000 miles on without any issues. Everything else has been a Chevy or GMC and one Power Wagon.

Here are samples of the images.

www.motorcraftservice.com you can buy acess to the ford stuff. and download what you need. 72hrs is like 20 bucks. its all the stuff the dealer uses.

after buying the 72 hrs access 2 or 3 times. very handy. Just small example for the ford stuff.

That's the things I like to see. Lot's of detail.
