I was able to get to Granger Motors in Iowa today to pick up the HPR Lariat.
This was probably the most smooth transaction for a vehicle ( other than Fords delays of course). Wish they were my local dealer but definitely would buy from them again. Didn't even have to question the pre-order rebates, the finance girl told me about them before I had to ask.
For the guys that had the previous gen Ranger, this new 6th gen is by and far superior then the last. No driveline shudder, no mushy brakes and very much updated interior.

And yes the 3% under invoice they advertise for special orders is very good compared to the X-plan thru work.

Lucky Day for both of us as I too was surprised that I could take delivery of a new Ranger, a Lariat. A couple of observations but only have a hundred miles on it so far and don't have all the settings mastered but have found it has adequate power, drives nicely, has comfortable seats, and fits in the garage much nicer than the F150. The ride on the rough, corrugated dirt/gravel roads seems comparable to the F150. I miss having the grab handle on the drivers A-pillar. I found that the J-Brace was not installed on the front corners of the box to stiffen the structure but have the parts so will get after that project one of these days. I can't say the interior noise level is any better than the F150 but it was really windy today so it wasn't a fair comparison. I found the running board to be useful in entering the cab but surprisingly not as useful in getting out as didn't need to use it while getting out and it hit the back of my leg when getting out (I am 69" tall). Rear seat legroom seemed more than I expected. As I change oil myself I was anxious to see what the access to the oil filter looked like and It's not the best for sure-It is accessed through the left wheelwell and there is no flap to open in the wheelwell liner as the previous generation had.

Congrats! For the oil filter do you mean nothing is in your way, or that there's no quick access flap and getting to the filter is more involved?

Mine too, I hope its deep orange tho and not really red. Didn’t really care for all the gray variations or white.

Nice to hear your pickup went smooth. It helps when the dealer handles the rebates without you asking. The new 6th gen sounds like a big step forward with no shudder and better brakes.

I got mine at an auction, so my process was different, but it was still quick. If anyone is not sure about a dealer, they can also look at the vehicle inspection report before they buy.

The 3% under invoice deal you got is strong. Sounds like you made a good move.
