Plating up! Skid Plates installed

My 4x4 had The plastic package! So, had to do something about it. Installed a Transfer case plate someone here recommended, from the Bronco- Perfect fit. The Front Skid plate is findable on the Ford parts sites, and is a bit pricey, but Ok, It's a must have~ Done.

The Gas Tank is like the Elephant in the room, Ford acts like if you just don't look at it, it won't be a problem. Giant Butter soft whale belly tank hanging low- But hey- Here's a 2nd butter soft plastic layer- slice right through those pesky jagged rocks! So @RIVAL 4x4 fixed that.

2nd to last stop was the Engine plate, pretty cheap, but could not find the Ranger number after much looking, decided the go with the Bronco one, and Yep- Fits like a Glove.

Going to probably get a E-Bay one for the Trans, that Plastic pan is just waiting for a branch.

I'm getting the whole Rival set when they're available. Did you take the stock gas tank cover off ? And if you did, do you have to take it off ?

From Rival you do not need to remove it. I did before it was clarified, doesn't matter though, usless piece

There are not many things I don’t like about the Raptor but going to the gas station gets old! Good thing is you’re not there long and it’s full.

I have been up dating mine as well. All that plastic is worthless on a truck. I feel like the aftermarket is better than the FX4 package for the price. Nice aluminum plates for less.

Question for people who got skid plates. I off road oftern up to moderate level. So, no advance or rock crawling. Do my RR really need plates? I do push my truck and do some challanging climbs and trails.

Branch through that whale belly gas tank, rock through that plastic 3.0L oil pan, plates way less than the repair cost.

IDK, man, I mean the engine plate was like 60 bucks or something, and the Transfer plate like 35? front plate was llike 400 though. That gas tank plate is gold though, at 300 from Rival. But their trans plate sucks as it doesn't fit the USA Ranger w/o some hokey adapters. Look around.

New!*** FYI, Rival created a Fully fitting Trans plate For the US Ranger that fits with the OEM (or aftermarket) Transfer case plate.. Looks great!

Juggernaut is the front 2 plates for 350 and it's wat better than stock.
