87 minimum requirement as per owners manual is all i use

I started with 87 but moved to 93. Ran better and got better gas milage.

Options where I live are 87/89/93 octane. If I were doing a long flat highway drive with no load I’d consider using 87. However, there are no flat roads here & much of my driving is 25 mile round trips so I use 93 for DD. There was a noticeable difference in performance between 87 & 93 octane for me.

I run 93, but next month I am making a 2,700 mile round trip. I plan to use 87 on the drive out (will save us about $60) and then 93 on the way back as we will be towing a car.

Ford here in Canada recommends 16000km(9942 miles) but I going to get it done at 10000km(6213 miles). That's about a years driving for me without any long trips.

So I try to fill both of my dailies at the same time and the other is a Mk7.5 Golf R and it requires premium so that's also what the RR gets. Reason for this same time issue is to maximize the discount for the fuel points from the local grocery store. It's usually $1.00 off per gallon up to 35 gallons. The catch is if you shut off the pump that transaction is done and you must use 1000 points to get the dollar off again.

I don't have a Raptor but I do have the 2.7L EB. I've been running premium, which around here is 91 octane.

Ford EB engines can tune themselves accordingly and take advantage of higher octane fuels.

GM turbo engines don't have that advantage. When I had my Colorado with GM 2.7L TurboMax I just stuck with 87 octane.

In west Texas, Unleaded = 87, Mid Grade = 89 & Premium = 93.
So far, I've only used Mid Grade 89 in my 2026, 2.7L EB.
