Spend some time on the Colorado/Canyon forum like I did. That 100% convinced me to stick with my Ranger Lariat order. You're always rolling the dice on a first year production vehicle.
Fingers are crossed that quality is improved with the job 2 trucks.

I have just over 2000 miles on my Ranger Raptor built the week of 3/19/24 and have no complaints. My hood closed hard but I adjusted the hood latch and all is good now.
We're happy to hear you are enjoying your Ranger! Thank you for being a part of the Ford family. :)

I did not order a Ranger but happened to find one in stock locally and bought it. It's an XLT with FX4 and the tech/towing package. We had a deposit down for a Tacoma TRD Off Road and both my wife and I decided we like the Ranger better for a variety of reasons. It's been almost two months, and we have 2800 miles already (multiple road trips and a lot of break-in driving to get 1000 miles before towing). So far I am VERY pleased with the truck. It's my first pickup after several Subarus.

I've noticed slightly rough downshifts in the transmission - not sure if it's an actual issue or just the fact that I've been driving CVTs for the last 12 years and I'm not used to shifts. My windshield cracked for no reason, but the dealership is replacing it under warranty. The CarPlay is occasionally unreliable. And I don't like the instrument cluster (it's just....cheap looking). Those are my complaints so far.

I have not noticed any quality issues in the build and so far it is pleasant to drive on and off road. The tech takes some learning but that's true in any modern car/truck. Tows our little camp trailer with ease. Has enough punch to make highway driving easy.

Ordered Nov23, built March 24, delivered April 24. Other than two rear light screws missing (which FoMoCo addressed immediately), the truck has exceeded my expectations. Lariat FX4. I’ve put 10k miles on it in two months (a hella lot of miles!).

Aside from being very pleased with the ride, the gas mileage has been outstanding for a truck. I’m averaging 23.7 mpg since new. Granted, most of it’s been highway mileage, but quite a bit of local as well.

I also took it out on a “tow test” with my camper and couldn’t have been happier with the way it handled it.

I agree with the OP and the negative sentiment of posts lately. I had a 2/6 build date, took delivery on 5/8, paid msrp. Bads, short and to the point: Rusty drive shaft, android auto disconnects randomly, and yes the rear view mirror molding has a decent gap for my liking, those are all true. Now the good. I have over 2,000 miles on the truck now, drove it across the country (avg 20.3 mpg, heading west and going from 600 feet of elevation to 7,000, 1000 mile trip) and then a couple of camping trips (600 mile trip got 19.5 mpg). Does great on the mountain roads, easy to drive through traffic too. Adaptive cruise controls is amazing! All the features are great.

Now the most positive thing I can say is the truck is an absolute monster when you turn the dial - mode selector to baja mode and are driving down forest roads. Driving around 8,000-10,000 feet of elevation it's like a beast, the baja mode keeps the rpms within the power band, turbo just spools and it's ready to go! It reminded me of being a little kid on atv with too much power. It just goes, if you get a chance take it on dirt and let'er buck. That should make you smile! (Also when using baja mode it is a thirsty truck! But that should be expected.)

P.s. pardon any typos sent from phone

Ordered mine in May of last year, took delivery in April of this year and the dealership experience was flawless and the truck is great. I've put 2000 miles on and love the experience. My wife has a Bronco wildtrak and it's nice to have a vehicle a little better at long road trips for noise/comfort/mpg.

I have no regrets getting my XLT. Some days I wish I had gotten a raptor since I eventually plan to lift the truck slightly and do a little off roading but for now it is exactly what I need

My 2024 hot pepper red Ranger Lariat build began June 3 so we’ll see how that goes. I traded in my 2019 Ranger Lariat in the meantime for a 2024 XLSTX. 2500 miles in and have had zero issues with it and actually like the truck a lot.

You’re going to trade the new STX in on your ordered one?

Considering it if I’m not too upside down. May abandon the Lariat altogether too. They said they wouldn’t hold me to it as it would sell.
