2024 RR 11000 miles. Driver window is going slow up and down when outside temp is below 32 deg F 0 deg C.
Anyone else having this issue? Looking for some advice.
Thanks for the help. I'm in PA and it's pretty cold up here. It gets even worse when it get below 20.
I do warm the truck every morning for like 5 minutes.
I will try to get some silicone on the seals to see if that helps.
I’m in Nebraska and with cold temps we’ve been having, I have noticed the same issue. I was pretty sure I was going to have to help pull it up the other morning.
After having this cold weather problem in a Subaru Outback solved by cleaning the window channel I thought the solution for the Ranger would be the same but it doesn't seem to be. I think as manufactures try to cut the wind noise on new vehicles that they have made the fit between the window channel and the glass tighter and I have to say that the Ranger is a fairly quiet vehicle. Has anyone tried spraying silicon in the window channel ?
I'm having the issue as well. I went to the dealer and they said they did a "reset" and it worked great for a week now it's slow to roll up again. doesn't matter if it cold or hot outside. no fix.
Might need to have the grease in the window motor (regulator) replaced with a lower viscosity one. Not the answer you want, but it may be a "this is what works the best 90% of the time" engineering decision. Could also be a bad regulator?
Me too. This problem is even more maddening than getting recall notices every 60 days. Thanks all for the ideas for fixes.
I'm at 14k miles now, but it's been going on for five or so months. Went to the dealer and they said they "couldn't replicate the problem" so they "put some lubricant on the tracks" thinking that would fix it. Not one bit. Three days later, same thing. Went back again an b*itched. Had to do a live demo to convince them, and only then did they agree to replace the motor.
They claimed they changed the motor but that made a difference for about five days. Then the cold weather hit (I'm in SE WI) and now it's slower than ever. I went back a few weeks ago, and with they said they would have to get the truck in so they could "create another work ticket" before they could reach out to ford engineering.
By the way, I had ceramic window tinting done on the fronts to match the rear windows. Thought that might be contributing to the problem, but then realized the passenger window works just fine!
I'm so sick of spending my valuable time in their damn service waiting room! NO, i dont want any of your damn cookies. How bout I give you an invoice for my time!
