As the title says, what's wrong with them?

I thought they were part of the family
I thought they were in a brotherhood
I thought they were cool

Not anymore.

Not that I think they would be on here, unless they are browsing these forums with hopes and dreams of a newer Ranger, but was this you this morning...QEW northbound around Grimsby/Stoney Creek, 530ish am driving a Azure Grey 5G?

If it was you, why are you such a stain on the driving community? Why are you so easily antagonized into being a douche?

Let me preface this, I washed my truck yesterday. Took time to detail the front end and remove a summer's worth of dried up bug guts and road grime.

You: Left lane camper. pacing the pickup in the middle lane beside you. Not crawling at a snail's pace, but definitely in the wrong lane.
Me: exceeding the speed limit. It is the QEW and the left lane is for those looking to break the law and dance around that stunt driving threshold. I do however jump back into the middle lane when its empty and I do use the slow lane when applicable to pass anyone else not using the other lanes in proper order of law breaking standards.
You: sped up because I was behind you, but didn't move to the center lane.
Me: I went around you in the center lane as a lawless speeder on the QEW does every few hundred meters. I returned to the left lane as there were cars coming up in the middle lane.
You: flashed me with your high beams. not once, but twice.
Me: What's your problem dude. the solution is you getting in the correct lane for your speed. The left lane is not it.
you: stays in the left lane as I gap him.

Now don't get me wrong, I am assuming it was because my far superior LED headlights, and the recent spit and shine on them, has your retinas burnt from their sockets. But please, if its too bright behind you, adjust your rear view mirror manually if it doesn't do it automatically. Adjust your side mirrors so my lights aren't being reflected directly in your eyes (I don't know how many people self immolate themselves this way out of ignorance) and I deeply apologize that your substandard halogens are like a candle under the best conditions. Racoons wont even look away.

The kicker a few km's down the road, 5G guy found his gas pedal and caught up to me to tail me at the next law abiding traffic group I encountered (he may have even had his high beams on, I couldn't really tell). Like I would be fazed by it even. BMWs. Audis and Mercedes do it all the time. They get even closer than you. So close I don't even see their headlights any more. Your aggressive tailgating attempt was even soft by QEW standards.

I just found a gap in the traffic and did some questionable aggressive lane changes and left you to fester in your morning anger as I disappear again.
Have some whole wheat cheerios and the day you deserve bro. It'll be alright.

And FYI, once you get the LED's on a Ranger, you'll be cool again. Until then, lane choice. Pick it wisely.

Dude. I grew up and learned to drive in Hamilton, on the Queen’s and 400-series highway system. I now live around Chicago, our intercity -interstates are no better. I agree with the epidemic of improper lane usage.
And the “left lane is for crime” is Hilarious!! 😂
But damn. Dyou feel better? You getting along with your day ok now? Don’t let the man get you down!
Glad you’ve found this place to vent!
- Drive on!

Yes, there are 5G people here, just evaluating your posts and experiences and deciding if we want to spend the money for a newer, but possibly de-contented truck. I'm quite happy with my 2020 Lariat LED headlights, which (I believe) are the same as yours and the 2025 models, unlike the lesser 6G's that follow.

We are probably like spirits, though. I hate left lane bandits and make it a habit to move right once I've completed a passing maneuver. The exception - when a full-size truck or any luxury car or Fast & Furious import or almost anyone else, really, tries to push me out of the way while I'm still in the process of passing. Then I slow down so I'm still passing but just barely.

In terms of upgrading, I was waiting for the 2027 Order Guide to pop up, figuring it would appear here first. Now it has and I think my decision is made. The 2025 appears to be the sweet spot, but all I'd really be getting in exchange for $15-20K is a heated steering wheel, memory seats, an engine upgrade, and a foot less bed space.

That tradeoff doesn't make sense to me so I went ahead and bought a new lawn tractor instead.

I think I'll stick around here, though, in case I change my mind and because some of you guys are really entertaining.
