Ranger (and Yakima) to the Rescue!

Looks so good. I want just the rack, no bed cover. Even though Yakima says it doesn’t fit. Just pull the trigger? No mount issues? Adapters needed?

It will fit. I don’t know why the Yakima website shows it as not compatible. Probably because there are so many different kinds of tonneau covers out there on the market. I have a 2024 Ranger lariat 4 x 4.

I had those racks on my 2005 Ranger and I found that the trailer hitch mount pickup bed extenders are easier to install and remove and work just as well. I use mine to carry kayaks and a 16 foot canoe on my 2024 Ranger STX. It works great and cost me $150. The trac-rac I had on my 2005 Ranger was about $600 then............and now , I would think alot more than I want to pay?

You should have everything you need for installation in the Yakima box once it arrives (even without a bed cover). Let me know how it turns out.

Needed to haul an 18-foot 2x6 for a project. No issue at all. Man, I love this truck!

What did you use for the over the cab gutter mount bases? Yakima doesn't list anything for a 24-25 Ranger.

So I really want this rack for my ‘25 Ranger Raptor but don’t want to use the channels. So a huge static load weight reduction or it’s a no go for the Overhaul HD? I read on another thread it had something to do with crushing the plastic rail caps? I’m really disappointed Yakima hasn’t provided a better option for 6G Ranger owners.

Are there any other bed rail rack systems that have as many accessory attachments that can be easy removed like the Overhaul HD? Rhino make such an animal? I’m looking for paddle sport gear (a canoe, kayaks and paddle boards). I’d also like a 270° bat wing canopy. I really liked the Overhaul HD for the height adjustment as well.
