RTT on Topper Extending Over Cab

I'm looking at an aluminum hard shell rooftop tent mounted on my topper. It's 83" (6.9') long which will extend over the cab and the antenna. Will this block my Sirius XM? I don't care about the FM radio but I'm not sure if the satellite antenna is in the same housing.

Any other words of wisdom with an RTT? Guessing some of it will hang over the back too?

My tent was actually fairly centered on my rack: 11" fore, 8" rear. It only really interfered with Sirius when going in a more northerly direction. East-west, like along I-40 or 70 would should have little interference. I still need to figure out which wire the satellite antenna is so I can run an aftermarket antenna somewhere. Otherwise, it isn't too bad if you have a decent library of mp3s on your phone or cellular. I think you can also stream SiriusXM through your phone on android auto and carplay, but don't hold me to that.

The sharkfin houses the satellite radio antenna. Personally, I would stream it via your phone for way better quality. You may also find a relocation kit online if it's important to you.

What kind of rooftop tent do you have? Ive considered getting one, but im older. I would have to have a step getting in and out of it especially at night.

Topoak Stellar. Comes with a ladder. Fits two adults decently. Side opening clam shell version will give you more room, and maybe let you keep the tent below cab height, but will take a little more time to setup and pack down. Definitely easier than a ground tent.
