I hate OEM the front plate mount, it wobbles so easily and mine is a little warped and makes contact with the painted bumper on the passenger side.
Does anyone have any experience with the Rugged Ridge Magnetic Plate Holder? Since the RR has steel bumpers I feel like this would be my best bet in terms of multiple placement options.
I’m not too fond of the tow hook mounted license plate holders.

Not sure about that, but for comparison I have a magnetic Raptor badge on my bumper has been on there through the car wash and stayed put. It's held on by two small rare earth magnets. It's pretty solid.

That’s good to know. I’m ready to purchase this but I need to do a little more research and see if there’s anything else stronger out there (that’s magnetic).

That could be convenient at times.

Some of those rare earth magnets are super strong. One holds my full size sar b6p with a full mag and you really have to pull it to get it free

Noted. Sounds like exactly like something I need. I don’t want to have to worry about it falling off at freeway speeds, etc.

Going to try this route from Amazon. Will report my feedback once it’s mounted.

I ordered a black, steel backing plate along with two magnets that spreads nearly the width of the plate and both the top and bottom screws— hopefully the hardware will reach 🤞

Magnets from Amazon were very weak. Ended up returning them. However the steel backing plate was really nice, and will be keeping that.

Now to find some really strong magnets…

i'm looking for rubber coated magnets so it doesn't scratch up the steel bumper, but thanks for the tip!

These look like they'd be strong enough to hold.. tempted.
