Rusted shafts and frame spots on pickup.

After picking up my new Ranger I thought I could hear an odd somewhat rattling noise underneath when it was idling. So I got out the ol trusty creeper and found the shafts to be rusted far more than I expected lol...I'm told by the dealership this is normal. I also found a few spots on the frame. I'm going to clean up the frame and put some protectant on it but wanted to show pics for anyone else wondering what their rusted delivery was going to look like. I was also told the padding/insulation stuck between the cab and bed is so they don't rattle together when driving...

Mine had some rust too, just not as bad as yours. Lightly sand it, use a rust converter to seal it before painting. Not impossible.
