Has anyone tried this? Does it hold up?
I want to prevent spills, sweat etc soaking into the cloth seats. I tried a couple of seat covers from Amazon and EBay, but they slide around too much and get wrinkled and look crappy after a few days. So I'm wondering if Scotchgard spray will be better.
Thoughts?

I did. Several applications. Didnt appear to do anything. I ultimately ordered a set of seat covers (havent gotten them yet).

I sprayed my XLT with Scotchgard last week. Didn't affect the color at all. I've used Scotchgard for years on my vehicles, outdoor furniture and indoor chairs, etc. Always been pleased with the results, as liquids bead up and are repelled.

If it doesnt work out, carhartt makes some nicer heavier seat covers that also happen to be water proof, though i dont think they advertise it as that way.

I had them in my previous nissan titan and now i got them for my ranger

You can use Scotchgard spray on cloth seats. It makes a layer that helps block spills and sweat from soaking in. It does not change the look or feel much. You may need to reapply it every few months if you use the seats often. It will not stop all stains, but it can give you more time to clean up before they set. If you want a full barrier, covers work better, but Scotchgard is easy and does not move around.

Thank you all. Sprayed my seats with 2 coats today (1 can). Will see how it holds up.
