I have been having issues with my lower back since purchasing the 24 Ranger and finally have come to the conclusion that it is indeed the new truck seat. Any idea if the Lariat and XLT seat have different softness/cusion or are the seats the same just different fabric? Just exploring options to try and fix this issue. I have reached out to a few local auto upholstery shops to try and find a solution. The odd thing is, I believe the passenger seat is more comfortable and has less of a downward angle so you don't drop into such a hole. Thanks.

My seats are manual adjusting It sounds like the power seats have the needed adjustments I want. I am working with the dealer to hopefully get a favorable price. I will lose a little money on the trade but well worth it to me.

I assume that you've tried adjusting the lumbar support? I found that it makes a big improvement when I get it adjusted to my liking.

It was the position of the manual adjusted seat. I ended up getting a new truck with power and heated seats and it made all the difference in the world. I lost a little money, but well worth it to me.

FWIW, even the power seats in the XLT, which have multiple power adjustments including lumbar, are not very comfortable for me. There are several reasons they don't work for me:

-The seat bottom is too short front to back
-the side bolsters on the seat bottom are too high and kind of intrusive
-the seat back forces me hunch forward a bit
-the head rest is angled way too far forward (and should be manually adjustable at this price)

I make it work, but all of this gets to me on long drives. Enough to try a different truck? Probably not.

Saw on another thread that you can pull the head rest out turn it around and put it back in and it will be tilted to the rear.

The XLT cloth seats are narrower than the leather Lariat seats. I felt it on a test drive and measured both. They are narrower in between the bolsters and in total width. Im a fairly thin guy and felt cramped in the XLT seats.
