Most f it was me not the trk. I love the trk. It is ready to go. Very smooth, stop n start not noticeable. Way more power than ill ever need.
Lots f traffic pulling out f my driveway,at times .to getbin the road with a car coming sometimes have to get on it hot pulling out.. My camry or my old truck will turn the tires ovef pulling out at times. This is extreme. But I dont need to pull out in front f a car in v6. Get on it be smoking tires n sideways. Thats extreme n only till I got used to it. Did that for fun in my younger days

i think the 4 cylinder will be fine for you, also. i have the older 4 cylinder and new one feels even more powerful so it will probably be great in atlanta and surrounding areas. i drove all around there in a karmann ghia when i was stationed at fort benning back in the 90s and have towed a car hauler through their in the last two years.

i have a 2wd with the rear locker and its fine for anything i have run into so far and it rides like a cadillac to me

If you leave it in 4A you won’t get any tire slip unless you are really gunning it. It will launch from a stop in 4 wheel drive.

No 4A on xlt. Don't really need 4wd. But in that case, i wish 4A. From what I recall that's Raptor turf. Way over my head and pocket.

Both the 2.3 and 2.7 are pretty "peppy".

My Lariat has a limit button and when I click that the truck won't go over the speed limit. I like using it in areas where I know there are speed cameras.

Would that feature help?

My v6 felt a lot more sensitive the first 2-3 months but now seems less so. I don't know if this is me getting used to it or actual, but it feels like I have to squeeze the throttle more to get the same response as I used to.

First (non-muscle car) I've owned that I didn't have to floor it any time I wanted it to do something. A habit that's hard for me to break.

I think j was just a little paranoid. I think I woukd be fine once I got used to it. Extra power is nice, but not really the biggest reason I was looking at the v6. Also dont really need 4wd.. Big $ savings with 2wd 4cy. It will be a while. Before I can trade. now. Hate not catching a 25 at lower prices

No issue with the gas pedal. it was me. I had anxiety issues that I didnt recognize at the time. I did buy a 25 xl 2.3 with 4 cyl ,2wd
It has locking rear diff snd a trailer hitch. The truck is fine ax far as the gas pedal. I was originally wanted a XLT. But this truck has everything I need. The 4 cyl is plenty peppy. I won"t be doing any heavy towing.
Maybe a bassnoat occasionally. Lawnmower. Maybe a UTC. Firewood, etc.

Good deal.

I have to drive through atlanta again at the end of april to get to jacksonville nc, my neice is getting married up there.

Atlanta is our sleep stop for the end of the first day's drive. We leave corpus christi texas and get to atlanta that night. Its 1000 miles for the first day drive and 500 the next to be there.

Atlanta has some nice places to eat but man do i hate the traffic.

You can try to remap your throttle by turning the Truck on, not starting it, just on, then full depress the throttle and release 3x. then turn off. Then operate as usual. I picked up a '17 Mustang GT i had from the dealer after a ECU flash, would not drive, I knew right away they didn't map the throttle, did as above, and off i went, perfect.

I think it was me.nmy anxiety. Ive been having unusual anxiety symtoms, at least for me at times. The truck i tried out initially was a v6. But jiwould think the throttle would be thd same. What was the .mustang doing before remap?
