I'm not 100% sure, I want to say 20%, told them to match the rears as close as possible and I cant see a difference really.

I thought I posted here but I guess not. Must have been another thread related to tint.

I read the police blotter for my city when ever it comes out and people are always getting ticketed for their tint being too dark. So unless I want to get pulled over and tested for tint and ticketed, I have to leave my windows stock. :sunglasses:

The crazy thing is there's a custom car shop about 2 miles from me that has a sign advertising window tint.

Matches the back windows. No tint on windshield, would get pulled over pretty quick in Pa with a tinted windshield.

I would love to get darker front door windows, but from the factory I'm pretty sure it already violates Va. law. My 5G did. I got pulled over years ago in Taurus just for the tint. Trooper pulled out his little meter and the windows were around 10% over. He let us go, probably after seeing nothing in the back seat when the window was down.

And meanwhile the troopers car was probably fully tinted too.

Does no one drive at night? We got tint on the front windows of my wife's Lexus and I hate driving that thing at night. You can't see sh!t.

Because of this I chose to not tint my previous Canyon or my RR. I drive in the mountains on unlit roads in the dark. I prefer being able to see.

There is a reason too-dark tint is illegal. It is dangerous

Details of your tint?🤠
Sure thing,.. I got my tint done at a place that is no longer in business, but the film manufacturer still is which I'm sure is carried by other local shops. The details of the brand of tint are here...

The display in the showroom was simple. A heat lamp behind a revolving cube of of plexi with different tints. That sold me. I went with the 20% over factory. You can still see through it, to an extent, so it doesn't look like 'please pull me over' tint, but dark enough. The heat blocking is inane. Arm on the door sill and you feel no heat. If you roll down the window to test it.. oh, yeah... you feel it.

I'm considering getting clear or 90% on the windshield, but haven't pulled the trigger yet.
