I think someone should try to schedule a mobile service tech for this

Asking for a friend….
Mine has already told me that they could do it with the mobile tech. I had the brake recall done and they offered without asking that they could do the airbag remotely. I was and still am skeptical.

I assume they are pulling the door panels off? If so, yeah, it's probably gonna have an annoying rattle somewhere. They never seem to go back on as tight as they came from the factory.
I'm leasing my Ranger. I'm gonna wait.

Got my second letter today, to fix the air bag issues but going to wait for a while like others have said so the mistakes are made on someone else truck…sorry I know that sounds terribly but I.m 1 hour from the dealership and don’t want to be going back and forth

Yeah I see the same thing. To be honest, I'm not going to get mine fixed for a bit. Let the masses get there's fixed and maybe down the road I'll get it repaired. You know shit is going to be messed up when you get your truck back. Scratches that where not there before, etc etc
Had mine done today. Let's not forget about the bonus greasy finger marks all over the headliner. Advisor handed me my keys and reminded me about the survey from ford. I walked out to my truck and as soon as I open the doors I see grease spots all over the headliner and b piller. I went and got the advisor and showed him. He said just a minute someone will come clean it. They sent out a guy covered in grease and he asked for my keys so he could drive it out back to clean it. I was like dude you are covered in grease. So he went and got some gloves. They did get it clean but still I should never have seen my brand new truck with 2500kms on it like that. Might be my last visit there but I usually like to get my stuff serviced where I bought it.

Sorry about the grease. How long did it take them?

I dropped it off at 845 and they called me at 345. Not sure how long they spent actually doing it. I had a different advisor when I picked it up and he didn't have a lot to say...only that it went smoothly when I asked how it went

I live in the land of where do you take the truck that has competent techs to do the work. When I bought it the door sill plates were missing that I paid for. They sent them to me to have a local dealer of the same company (Autonation) install them. I read the installation instructions and obviously when I got the truck back the guy didn't follow them. They were just slapped by eye and not laid out via the instructions. The guy didn't even wipe the dirt of the sill before he stuck them on. So where do I take it to avoid disappointment? So its the S Florida dealers. This is going to be a PIA for sure.

wow, they really show they don't care. i had nice door sill plates on my 2020 that came from the factory. i believe they were part of the black appearance package. i love my 2025 and have the black package again but i am a bit miffed that ford removed certain things like the door sill plates, the sensors to lock/unlock from rear doors, printed manual, etc all while increasing the prices.

i always laugh now when i hear those commercials that say "have a pro do it right". can you try for a refund on your door sills and then install them yourself properly? it sounds like they will fall off if they were stuck to a dirty door sill.

for my case bringing my truck out with a dirty headliner really shows they don't care at all and think customers are stupid. i don't care how busy or rushed they are you should get your truck back in the same state or better. when a customer pays almost 70k CAD for a truck, they don't expect stains on it when they get it back from service after owning it for 1.5 months. i don't really know what it is like in S Florida where you are, but the lack of care seems to be pretty universal.

Curious...???
Service Mgr stated the airbag repair bulletin 'instructions' do specify headliner removal along with a 2 hr time allocation. 🙄

My airbag recall repair scheduled Monday, that coupled with another in-process warranty repair posted - - peeling paint.

...let's see how it all goes 😒
UPDATE 30 Sep
Welp, recall competed and warranty door repaint good.
> Confirmed headliner was 'removed & replaced'

So-far so good..."no runs, drips, or errors"

It's not getting done in your driveway. I have my service scheduled for Friday this week, dealer is telling me it's a 3-5 hours repair and involves, among other things, dropping the head liner.

I don’t doubt they will keep your vehicle for 5 hours

then of course we have this which sounds like mobile service is feasible

Ford Service Advisor here: just had the recall done today (so that I could take delivery of my '25 Raptor). The recall only took my tech like 15 minutes, and he'd never dropped a Ranger Raptor headliner before. The shielding that is installed are two thin, rectangular strips of rubber that get added to the metal behind the air bag, to prevent the bags from catching on that metal and tearing. It was incredibly simple, and he put everything back together well. But, I also work for a dealer and know all of these techs personally. Your mileage will vary.

Those quoting 2-4 hours probably never did it, and just because Ford allows a charge of 2 hours, doesn't mean it will take that long.
As others said, I'll wait a few weeks so that the techs can get to know the process.
