I'm not sure I want a bed cover. I don't typically store anything exposed in my car or trucks I've previously driven. It's all locked up inside or, if it's in the bed, it's tied down and weighs enough most people aren't going to mess with it.

What I'm concerned about is people stealing tailgates. When TF did this start happening?

I can confirm that the J Brace does need to be installed, I ordered mine from the dealer today and they will put on when they receive my truck

Worth mentioning that if you plan to order a cap/cover thru Ford themselves (via the ford accessories website), I think the J-Brace is provided and installed for free.

I was thinking about a soft top and tonneau combo such as Fastop. https://www.fas-top.com
Anyone have experience or opinions on this product?
I know this is old, but I’ll comment for the benefit of others who stumble upon this thread. I installed a fastop soft top an tonneau combo about a year ago and I’ve been happy. It’s super easy to switch between the two options or to close them both, and also super easy to remove the soft top when I need every inch of space I can get, like when I put a motorcycle in the bed. I know it’s only been a year but it’s held up so far in sunny 100F+ days and 20” of wet snow or below 0F.
