its the trailer brake/turn, that triggers it. I'm running a set of c1r's from dd off the 7pin trailer harness adapter they sell. and with my marker lights on, when ever I would use a turn signal, I would get trailer light error, etc. set up fake trailer etc. did all that. then I found in the ford body builder layout guide, ford wants you to tap the 3rd brake at the bcm, so I ran a wire back for my cap, and took both left and right turn/brake off the dd trailer harness, and put them to the 1 brake wire from bcm. got rid of the trailer error, and the trailer plug still gives me my ground, marker, and reverse.

i wonder if you guys could use that trailer adapter that f150leds makes that plugs into the 7 pin from the back and has the two branches to hook stuff to? we got one for my youngest son's 22 f150 but before we put it on, i compared it to my trucks trailer hook up and it will plug right in.

i didn't get to plug it in and make sure the wires powered up like they do on his truck but it was interesting enough that i was thinking of getting one just to mess with. we used his to power extra reverse light pods we added with one of those hitch brackets
