Not sure why, but I love the look of this truck. Can't imagine running this type of tire on that early suspension. But it looks mean.

That’s a good looking old Ford. The mud and snow bias ply tires were pretty common on 4x4 trucks in this area when I was a kid. With no power steering, they were a bear to make a 3 point (or more) turn with. But they had a big steering wheel to help. Once you got rolling, they weren’t too bad to steer, but you definitely learned to keep your thumbs on the outside of the steering wheel.

i had very similar wheels to those on a jeep cherokee. they were some noisy suckers. i never tried them off road because they came on the jeep when i got it and i got rid of them pretty quickly but a bunch of people were in line to get them if the first guy passed on them. he took them though
