I did too from a lot - not so much as lucky as was just pissed off my order is still in Michigan purgatory and got tired of waiting!

So you did a generic search. would be curious if you (or anyone) see anything if you search by your VIN at https://www.ford.com/support/recalls/. I tried a few VINs sitting on dealer lots, including raptors, and none of them show a CSP when searched by VIN.

Really?! $500 lo-jak? That place has sold twice in like 5 years. I'm not buying cars from them and I'm not getting service there anymore. I had purchased the j braces from Hudson ford, but they wanted so much for the install that I just ended up returning them.

I re-purchased them from the Ford Accessories site, and I am going to get AutoNation Ford in White Bear Lake to do the install. That was a couple of weeks ago now and I'm still waiting on the J Braces to come in.

I figure the best case is that White Bear Lake Ford will do the install for the $192 I paid for it. If they don't, I'll still take the J Braces this time and then I'll just find a shop to do it.
I've watched the videos.. I probably could do it myself, but I'm nervous about drilling out the rivets and I don't have any tools to cut the steel.

The rivets aren't too bad. To make it easier, you need to drill out the mandrel with a smaller bit and not try and do it all at once (It's in the instructions.)

You could honestly cut the steel portion out with heavy duty snips if you needed. I used a reinforced Dremel cut off wheel to cut it. One guy on here said he just bent that portion a bit, so the backer would fit inside and didn't cut it at all. The backer does almost fit without cutting.

On my XLT, getting the plastic wheel line out of the way was the biggest challenge of the install.

Don't know, but if there really is a structural integrity issue with weight on the bed rails then it shouldn't matter where you get the topper from.

Either way you need them but if you buy the topper from Ford they cover the cost if not it's on you.

I am considering purchasing a Smart Cap Evo Sport, but I want to get this sorted first.

Min has an “in production” date of 6/4 and a built date of 7/10 and shows no existing TSB’s or CSP’s…

I haven’t physically looked behind the wheel well yet, but I’m hoping this means I don’t have to install these?

Yes, that article is wrong. Ranger Raptors do NOT come with the J-braces.

It will be interesting to see if Ford factory installs the J braces on the 2025 Raptors, or if this is going to be an ongoing issue.

@engus13 how can you be sure that Job2 Rangers built past July 15th don’t have the JBrace?

The load box reinforcement kit(J-brace) is a recall now and I got it installed on my truck a couple of days ago at Price Ford. They are going to refund my points either by check or my points since I bought the kit before it was a recall. They also did 2 other recalls on my truck.
