I put together a quick video of my truck on my drive to the gas station this afternoon after work. I plan to put together something MUCH better in the future, but I know I wanted to see as much footage as I could find over the past month so take it for what it is... I'm no videographer, just a car enthusiast trying to share the love... if you have any specific things you want to know about these US spec vehicles let me know and I'll try to get a pic or video for you.

How’s the glare on the windshield? On my 21 it’s pretty bad in some situations.

I haven't noticed anything crazy with glair yet... but it was a rainy day today and I was driving with overcast... I will have to keep an eye out for it when the sun is right in my face on a clear day... have you tried polarized sun glasses?

I'm a little concerned about the "Transmission not in Park" error. Especially since you *just* got the truck.

EDIT: Nevermind.. I continued watching the video. Your door wasn't shut completely. LOL.

Have you noticed that the door is hard to close? I have to shut it 2 or 3 times every time I open it. It's like the cabin is too air tight and you have to really slam the door to get it to shut all the way.

Awesome vid! Congrats!

Thanks for confirming auto start/stop, looks easy enough to disable on the fly.

Shelter green looks so good in overcast and I admit I was worried. It looks awesome. I can't wait!

Absolutely! These things are well put together and apparently it has a lot of weather stripping to keep things nice and tight so it takes deliberate effort to close these doors haha. I have a feeling I’ll be closing all the doors for my daughters for a while! But it’s so much better than the alternative where the doors shut and latch super easy but rattle all the time.

I really do like the color… I’m a blue car guy usually but this is the perfect color for this truck IMHO… as for the auto start/stop it is easy to disable but just wish there were an option to turn it off for good. For my Explorer I bought the device that kept the setting in memory so I will likely do that again for this truck unless I can make it part of my mental start up check list within the next few weeks and not forget till I get to a stop light.

Very nice video and great looking truck. I posted on your FB about this video but didnt get a response. Does the truck have tilting mirrors when you go in reverse to see the curb?

Also, Is it sporty enough to handle missed M3 cravings?

Sorry i must have missed the facebook comment. I think the mods here on this site posted it there so i didn't get a notification. The mirrors do not lower when put in reverse unfortunately (at least not as a default setting and i haven't figured out if there is an option but i will check into it) and to be honest, no... this truck is awesome but nowhere near the M3 feeling. onramps are underwhelming in this truck compared to M3 but that is to be expected... now with a tune, it might be a bit closer! i had to drastically adjust speed in the 270 degree on/off ramps as well... but it is what it is... i dont have to avoid onramps or slow down to a crawl for speed bumps anymore so that is a big plus!

Thanks for the quick response. No tilt mirror is a little disappointing. That should be a standard thing at this point. Coming from an S5 and people are telling me Im going to hate driving a truck. Its supposed to arrive next month and Im nervous now lol.

That S5 is an awesome vehicle... if you want/need a truck this is a great option but it is no sports car by any means. If you go into it expecting 400 HP to feel like it does in a small car you will be sad, and the sound is very underwhelming compared to an Audi / BMW / other european sports cars with the stock exhaust... it is interesting that there is no exhaust manifold on this engine... it is all done in the head and there is an single exhaust port on the head that the turbo is mounted to... that may be a part of the sound difference.

All that said, if you go into this vehicle knowing what it is and if you intend to drive it like it was intended and get off the beaten path, you will not regret it at all! I really wish they came out with a ST version of the ranger with this engine in it... that has been discussed in a few youtube videos i have seen and would be an awesome throw back to the late 90's sport truck era... fords version of the cyclone/typhoon!

it has only been 2 days but i do not regret trading my M3 but i will absolutly miss it from time to time i'm sure. Hope this helps. Cheers.

Yeah, Im totally tempering my expectactions. Ive only been driving sports sedans/coupes my entire life. Figured Id try something different. Im tired of all the potholes and worrying about where Im parking. Looking forward to the new truck, thanks for your response!

Also, yes, I totally intend on modifying it. Intake, exhaust, tune.....
