I know mine here doesn't effect the premium and we just pay whatever deductible we have. Mine's $100.
What cactus said, if you have full coverage it usually includes a no cost windshield replacement that falls under "comprehensive" and not "at fault" so it will not raise your premium. Had this happen a few years ago with a Subaru with ACC camera, no cost to me replaced. call your insurance.
no idea on the difference but i assume there is a factory version and some aftermarkets of varrying levels. the glass place mentioned options on the trims effected the glass levels but i am not sure how that works since we all seem to have the lane detection, accident avoidance, and whatever the other thing was they told me (still cannot recall it). and 250 or the 1k is the camera reaiming so the glass is actually 750.
There's "aftermarket" glass, basically different brands of windshields, ford oem being the most expensive. If you call safelight they use brands that are known to work with the windshield cameras, as some do interfere, but they warranty the windshield%cameras working with it, so they won't use something that won't, if you go to them they will make the insurance claim as well. Thats how it worked with my subaru, $850 windshield and camera alignment, cost me $0 out the door, premiums did not raise, but im sure thats based on amount of claims you've had in past years.
What rear air reflectors did you use?Big day for the truck today. Test cut some letters for the tailgate (temporary until we find the right vinyl,) popped in some rear vent extenders, installed hood struts, and a comma 3x for self driving. No pics of the comma 3x install, but I might put together a video about it.
