Ford Ranger What's under this? cubby
I'm about to install an auxbeam switch panel in my 24 XLT. I'm using a Ram mount out of the cubby in front of the USB ports. I was wondering if anyone knows what is under the plastic. The truck is loaded and I'm finding modules and wiring in every possible place. Plan B is VHB tape. Thanks.

We’re barking up the same tree for different reasons- I want to get the inductive charger out so I can 3D model it and replace with devices that don’t TRY TO CATCH MY PHONE ON FIRE.

will post if/when I get the bits out. Haven’t exactly tried yet, been focused on audio first.

What are you even talking about? How is the inductive charger catching your phone on fire?

The builtin charging pad gets my iPhone 14 excessively warm, and it's only a trickle of charge rate. I don't use it, and may unplug it so I can use that space for my phone (I just put it face down there for now).

My Apple magsafe chargers don't cause my phone to heat up like that, and charge rates are better. I would prefer fitting a magsafe solution in there if I could come up with a slick way to integrate that.

I took this all apart to put in THIS dash mount.
Here are the instructions. https://www.industrialevolution.com.au/wp-content/uploads/Ford-Everest-2022-Indash-Install.pdf

It all comes apart. There's space under it for sure, but there is also a wire loom bundle right under it, so any modifications should be done with it removed so you don't drill into your loom.

100% possible to take out with a wrench and trim tools.

Yep my iPhone gets way too hot for a wireless charger. I had a 24 CT5-V before the raptor and the phone stayed cold the entire charging time.
I don’t use the Raptor one either.
