Vehicle(s)
2024 Ford Ranger Lariat, 4x4 FX4.
Wish list.
1. dual battery tray (Australian makers won't ship to US.)
2. A real bumper to mount a winch.
3. Yellow LED fog lights that actually fit the stock location. Unless a cool bumper comes first.
4. A real kit with struts and shocks to level it out, and maybe some nice upper control arms.
5. Maybe Ford Performance can take a break from all the Bronco parts and show some love. What's great is if you look at 2024 Ranger, there is no exhaust, but if you search Parts>Exhaust Related> it shows the Ranger exhausts. Add to cart and check fit and it says its not compatible. You just can't make this $hit up. Someone at Ford needs to drug test their website guy. And where can I get the truck in the pictures of the Smart Bed Cap? WTF Ford?

Ford lots near me are loaded with Broncos but not Rangers. I see way more Broncos on the road than Rangers so maybe that is why?

i feel like the bronco being out longer and its the competition to the jeep wrangler makes them more popular for aftermarket suppliers too.

though the ranger is a lot more useful than a bronco or wrangler. especially since they come in four doors so its basically an suv with a bed on the back

I wonder why the Bilstein Shocks and Struts are not offered in NA.

They are on this AU Tremor. I know the Tremor is a bit taller then the standard Ranger.

Old Video.

For that matter, why the heck won’t ford sell a Ranger Tremor in North America. I mean thy give us a Tremor everything else….even a Maverick for God’s sake. 🤦🏼‍♂️

We will see if its offered for 2026. From sales figures the last couple of quarters the Ranger seemed to be selling more then other Ford products. Maybe not the F150.
Dodge seems to think there is a market for mid size trucks with the release of the Dakota in 2027.
I gave up waiting for a Super Cab. Although that sold in small #'s. I am sure the fleet market would have like the Super Cab. My ordered Ranger XLT has been delivered to my dealer. Just have to pick it up.

Link to catalog I use that you can get an idea of what is out there for Ranger. Obviously not everything but might help. I buy a lot of my mods from them and they have a sizeable showroom if you are near Wichita. They also install.

The truck arrived Sunday afternoon. My local salesman was there and went over everything. He found two tiny scratches in the rear tail ight housings, one each side in almost the same place. He said they would not be warranty. Probably can be buffed out. Everything else, perfect. However, although I paid for backhaul, the driver did not take the F150. He said another driver would come later. After calling the dealer in SD, they were surprised, will have to call Yada Transport. So I told them I am not sending the title yet because the F150 is still on my insurance until it goes on the transport. Until then the Ranger is mine and paid for but uninsured in the garage because I would have to add a third vehicle then cancel almost immediately. I just won't drive it yet. I have to leave the F150 outside as I have no garage for it. I don't like it but the dealer in SD said they understand. Hopefully this gets worked out fairly soon. I'm not worried about it. Beautiful truck. Needs a bath.

You might check your policy, most of them cover a new purchase on your existing policy for a set number of days. Meaning I think you can drive it without worry for 10-30 days depending on policy.

Sounds like you did drive it home, were you happy with the comfort and how it drove etc?
I have never driven a non Raptor version. Was thinking of getting some XLTs for the business.
My sales guys are all in F150s now, but the prices are so out of control on new F150s I am not sure if I can justify continuing to replace them with like XLT F150s that now sticker in the mid to low 60s.

Actually the truck was dropped off in front of my garage. I drove it a mile or so to check everything. The 2.7L has the giddy up, especially in a medium truck. Very comfortable, easy to drive, and well appointed. But no 4A. Maybe next refresh. The stock step boards get in the way or jam my foot. So going E-boards after protecting the investment. Not in a hurry to drive it. Busy configuring. Ford system is not working so can't activate navigation. Accessories are being shipped now so I will be installing Weathertech splash guards etc. Need to get some Redline hood struts. Don't like the prop rod.

Yea, not really a fan of the prop rod crap either.

But I rarely ever open the hood, so I never got around to doing anything about it.

These ecoboost motors look horrible with all the tubes, hoses, wires going every which direction. Reminds me of a rats nest. lol

So I sort of figured it’s not the sort of engine I would ever need to be popping the hood to show my buddies. So far none have really asked me to either.

Now my TRX , it had its hood popped open a lot, with buddies always wanting to see and hear that 700+ hp supercharged v8 engine, which actually looked sort of like Ram actually cared how it was going to look and be looked at by owners and their buddies.

Ford seems to care about the coyote v8 and how it looks.
‘If Ranger had one of these under the hood, I would move ditching the dumb prop rod crap to the top of my list of things to get addressed. lol

This rats nest is not really ever going to be something anyone would ever care to see, I figure best to keep the hood closed as much as possible . Lol.

Buckle Up Off Road has red crossover pipes for the RR, and blow off valves in blue or red. Adds a little pizzazz to the Ecoboost spaghetti.
