Where's my order?! (Try chat)

I know there are a lot of disappointed people wondering where their orders are. Especially after weekly Tuesday internal scheduling plan bulletins release and show Ranger scheduling for that week, then Thursday comes and goes without getting a build email.

This has been me while reading all the "ZOMG, My Ranger is Scheduled!!11!!" threads:

For those that are anxiously waiting on the sidelines wondering when it will come, you might try the chat option on Ford's website. It's been mentioned in several threads to try the chat and I cannot stress that enough. Ford's email comms are not always very timely so don't necessarily rely on those for your updates.

I checked several weeks ago and was told no build date yet, clean and unscheduled status. Boo. Saw the scheduling bulletin this week, then Thursday came and went, and again, nothing. Boo.

So this morning, I checked with Ford Chat, gave them my order number, order code, and sales code. And I got a pleasant surprise that it's scheduled for the week of 2/26. Asked for a VIN, got that.

So try chat, you just might get lucky with some good news.

*Also note, if you bring up the chat page and there's not a chat button to select, you have to allow permission for location or you can't chat.

I got the email yesterday from dealer saying it's scheduled the week of March 4 but of course I got it after they closed and he didn't put the VIN in and he off today so I tried chat this morning but they were unable to give it to me. Said it's a dealer thing so now I have to wait until tomorrow.

In the email I got from Ford yesterday telling me that my truck was scheduled for week of 3/18/24, it also included the vin#.

I will get mine tomorrow sales person just forgot to put it in email. Email was from dealer not Ford. Ford Canada doesn't send emails like Ford USA.

I got an almost identical email yesterday, VIN and build start date of 3/25/24. No window sticker available yet.

Congrats on getting your build date! It’s all downhill now!?

It’s funny you were able to obtain your info from Ford Chat. My experience was the total opposite. I contacted Ford Chat yesterday morning (as I’ve done every Thursday!) and they told me it was clean/unscheduled/and is awaiting scheduling. Not 20 minutes later I got a text and email stating I do have a build date (week of 4 March) and a VIN. It’s a bit helter skelter but hey, at the end of the day, we finally have build dates!

I have also been sitting on the sidelines patiently (well, kind of) waiting for the golden build-date email. Went to Ford Chat this morning and low and behold I got the same amazing news...a 3/4/24 build date!

I am again in no hurry but I did stop by my dealer to see if my priority code has updated and sure enough it has moved from 19 to 10.

Usually the window sticker shows up about a week before the build starts.

Can you have more than one truck on the app? If so I'll add mine, but it looks like I'll still have my 2020 for another 4-5 months.

can you guys even see the truck yet as soon as you get the vin.. because now I am tempted to do it but I am not 100% sure I will buy it when it arrives because of the possible $10k mark up my dealer said there is possibly going to be but they not confirming if it will be the case when mines arrive as it will depend on where Ford stands on how many they are going to make in the next few years
