I’ve got that exact setup on my 2025 - love it!Getting ready to pull the trigger on either a left over 2025 Ranger XLT FX4 2.3 or maybe a new 2026.
Which transmission is lately being use on the latest rangers? 10R80? 10R60?
Any reliability issues on both?
Thank you for the info it’s definitely something to consider before purchasing. My 2019 had the 10R80. I traded it in because the trans was getting worse the more miles it got. I think it was a matter of time before it grenaded.
My 2024 trans is much better, but i still get a lagging shift between 4th and 5th after coming off the highway. Everything else about it is good.
Thank you that’s good to know, I’m new to the Ranger world been researching for the last year or so before pulling the trigger on it.A 2025 with a big discount would be the best decision.
Some 2026 might have actually less standard stuff as the packages are being reshuffled for profit.
I get that 4th-5th gear stumble if I'm coming from a stop.My 2019 had the 10R80. I traded it in because the trans was getting worse the more miles it got. I think it was a matter of time before it grenaded.

Thanks, good to know it’s just normal break in period.I have 3500 miles on my 2025 Lariat. The transmission is getting smoother and no issues at all. It initially shifted rough when cold (normal behavior based on lots of posts here) but even that seems to be getting better.
