I did the CVF stage 1 intercooler & charge pipe kit - no codes. Kept my air box stock & just went with a K&N filter in the stock box so I can’t speak to that.

On the BOV - I went with the Turbosmart dual port which allows you to rotate/aim the vent to atmosphere port. I aimed it down & towards the front and I NEVER hear it in the cab. Seriously…NEVER. Granted I also have a complete Borla exhaust system which runs on the raucous side and I always have the stereo on, but I never hear the whoosh of the BOV. I had to verify it was evening working by opening the windows & popping the hood in the driveway…….it’s definitely working alright. Luckily it’s there and stouter than the stock unit.

just some food for thought….
Any insights on the intercooler install? I've got mine in the box and installing on the near future.

No not really. Just take your time and lay everything out ahead of time and get a feel of where each piece and each coupler is going because there are no directions. And the last thing you need is to be aggravated mid project.

Mounting the intercooler and the topsides pipes were no problem. It’s the drop on the 2 return pipes near the battery that was kind of a dog fight for me, but I lost daylight and the drizzle moved in at that point so my aggravation was brewing big time. It’s just super tight hand & tool wise and there’s super low visibility (wrenching 1/2 blind in spots) due to how cramped it is.
Pay SUPER close attention at bolt-up to make sure the new pipes (yea they are larger) give adequate clearance to the pulleys & serpentine belt system. REALLY!!! pay attention as you tighting everything into position. I thought I had enough clearance at the A/C compressor and initially did, but it wasn’t enough. After a couple days of system settling in I could every once in a while, under heavy acceleration, hear this odd schreachy & ticky grind. Then it’d be fine. I knew by correlation it had to be this install.
Sure enough one of the return pipe drops had settled enough to be way to close to the compressor and I could mimic the sound with the engine running and manually nudging the pipe. So back after both the drops to get them situated further forward & away from the engine. Which means loosening all the clamps and twisting & finagling the pipes to get them repositioned and then bolt-up all over again. Zero issues since, but I do keep an eye on it. No damage was done. It merely scrapped the pipe coating and left zero witnessing on the compressor, but it would’ve gotten worse had I ignored it.

Hope that helps ya!

I would love to hear about how you get less filtration out of an S&B CAI.
Pretty simple, the way to get higher air flow is by lower static, how do we do this? Lower restriction/filtration. this is common to all after market intakes. My guess is most of us don’t keep these trucks long enough to make any difference. I’ve had them on both of my last two F150s, love the sound so I’m guilty too.

I had an S&B on my F150 3.5 and it was great which is why I went back to them. I completely agree with their comment on the boost from 4200 rpm and up, the truck pulls much harder in the high rpm range for sure. I also agree with the above statement about very few people owning a truck long enough to notice any difference down the road.

‘25 brethren, are you going for the wet or dry filter? I have an itch to spend some money.

I went with dry, that's what I had before and in 5 years I replaced the filter once. The site explains the differences. The wet might flow a little better but I like being able to just use an air compressor to clean it out. I also just added the filter wrap so that should extend the filter life as well. On the first intake I didn't add the wrap until the replacement filter, if I had started with it I likely wouldn't have had to replace the filter in the first place.
