hey guys, i am posting my video of how well this duster works from @Wolfbox .
i won this from the give away they recently did. i have never seen anyone use a duster blower and never would have even considered ever buying one so winning this introduced me to something new. i was very surprised at how well this thing moves air. like VERY surprised.
i opened the package when i got home from work as it was delivered earlier while i was not home. the box is nice, like a package a new phone comes in. the foam cut outs are perfectly shaped for the duster and the tips that come with it. it has 4, a flat one, one with a longer funnel, like for crevices, one with a flatter round tip, and the normal tip on the duster. i didn't try any of the other tips in the box yet because i really had no idea what i was going to do with this duster.
so i took the box and went to the garage. i had to cut the grass so i got the mower and started it and did a lap down and back when suddenly the mower made some odd noises and stopped cutting. i have a half acre yard so the mower is 46" deck craftsman rider. so, anyways, i look under and the belt jumped. odd. i drive back up the carport and shut it off and dig into it and it turns out the left blade spindle threw all the bearings out allowing the shaft the blade is mounted on to start wobbling and drop under the deck. yeah
so, since i have the mower apart, i decide i am going to try this duster out and see what it does. i grab it and turn it on and start blowing around the motor and deck on the mower. this sucker blew everything out of anywhere i pointed it. it put out so much air, i tried it out as a leaf blower on the parking area under the carport and this little thing worked as a leaf blower. it blew all the sand and crap off just like my blower does. holy cow!!
its funny, you push the button to turn the duster on and it spins up and sounds like a little turbo fan motor, woooooooooooozzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
anyways, i am really impressed with this little thing. i still am not sure what i will really do with it but it will definitely be a fun thing to try out on all kinds of things around the house and garage. i can see using it to clear passages on the carb on the bmw when i need to rebuild it soon. i can see using it to clean the gears on my bicycles, especially the 11 speed cassette on the racing bikes. i can see using it to blow off the dash on the vehicles because living here along the coast, we have 25mph winds basically every day, which blows sand everywhere. i can see using this thing to blow out the outside unit to the house ac system when i do the yearly cleaning, its that powerful.
anyways, just a more thorough update on this surprising duster from wolfbox.
