Well guys, it's been a long time coming! I've been working on this project for a while!

We're known for everything Raptor, it's what I specialize on.

After probably close to 1,000 messages/emails/phone calls over the years about Ranger/Bronco Raptor support, it's finally here!

*Some background about me*

* I am a former NASA Engineer, where I started young at 20yrs old and have since left after 17yrs there. I worked as a Network Engineer and later a Hardware Engineer where I was helping build data centers, virtually, for the new NASA Ground Station.

* I've LOVED cars/trucks since I was a little kid. They have always fascinated me. After starting at NASA back in 2005 I purchased my first tuner car, a Subaru STi. I immediately modified that. That car led me into a TT V6 R35 GTR which I loved. When I saw the TT V6 hit the 3.5L Raptor in 2017 I needed one!! And this is where things all started for me, in the Raptor platform. At this point I started helping COBB with their Raptor development program, and the rest was history!

*Current Plans for 3.0 Raptor*

Several months ago I acquired my own Development 3.0 Raptor to test on. I've since been tweaking/tuning/modifying things in order to see for myself what needs to be done. This is something I have always done with all of my vehicles, and what sets us apart from most who do not test on their own vehicles. I'm testing everyday, tweaking everyday, gathering data and analyzing it.

Currently, my Raptor 3.0 sits at 507whp 506ftlbs of torque, on E40 fuel, with an intercooler only, on 37s.

I plan to get this on E85 with a fuel system, and MAYBE bigger turbos. This truck is already a handful offroad making this much more power over stock, and I don't want to ruin what it was built for, and how I plan to use it.

Please ask any questions you guys have an let me know if you want to see something specific!

I'm always happy to help, and available to answer questions!

Here is my first 3.0 Bronco Raptor vlog! I have several others in the making, and some Ranger specific content coming next week!!

Edit: 7/25/25

We were able to get our GooseTuned R&D Bronco Raptor on the dyno yesterday at SDHQ in AZ and put it to the test!

You guys have seen us go from stock, to tuned, to E40, and now bigger CRP turbos! Super pumped to have added +300hp peak to this truck in less than 4 months!!

With the help of Nostrum High Performance, we were able to squeeze out some MASSIVE power from this 3.0l nano! This is the first Bronco Raptor with the Stage X fuel system + ESSIM!

Take note of the smooth powerband! No odd dips, just smooth power that peaks at redline!!

Stock: 376hp 388tq
Results: 658hp 590tq!

You guys know that we will be putting this through its paces in the desert, at events, etc!

Huge shoutout to SDHQ for the last minute install!

We are working on something super super cool that I will post about in the coming week(s)!!

This was self-tuned on HP Tuners!

Have you found any way that you can program in some crackle on over run in sport mode? My Audi had a very mild crackle tune on it and I kind of miss the aggressive nature of it. I'm not talking about so much pops and bangs that you blow out the cats, just a little extra drama in sport mode would be the bees knees

it’s definitely possible Also does it stock, or on the stock calibration with an exhaust.

I tend to stay away from burble though.

I did tune pump, 91ACN (crap 91). It made 426whp 505wtq, which was +77whp +104wtq.

Dyno run is at 12m.

So just the intercooler amd proerly gapped plugs gave the 12hp gain? I stopped after the dyno run

Does this exceed the max torque specifications of the 6r80 transmission? I thought they only handle 590 lb ft? Isn't that about 500 ish at the wheels?
The OEM torque spec is sustained torque. And also, I've ran much higher torque for 10s of thousands of miles on hundreds of other 10r60s

Question - how many fuel maps do you typically provide with a tune? Can they be swapped with relative ease?

I live where 93 is easy to find, but after reading about ACN91 and knowing that sometimes even regular 91 can be hard to find, I wouldn't want a strictly high-test tune. I'm sure others might be in a similar boat, so thought I'd ask.

I provide 1, that's included in the tune cost. But customers can choose as many as they want, they are +$175ea.

Oh GOOD! 93 is so much better than ACN fuel. ACN tunes like 88-89oct.

The tune still contains octane adjustment, but I recommend running an octane specific tune. These trucks will ping their way down on 'auto octane' tunes. That adjustment time is simply the knock sensors being forced to pull back power due to knock.

The OEM tune runs that same way, just isn't as aggressive as a custom tune.
