I went in an traded my M3 for mine yesterday. I didn't have an order in for it and i just got extremely lucky. Sales man took some pictures of it coming off the truck and i was there the next morning when they opened. ended up paying 2,000 over MSRP but to me that is acceptable. I get that some think any markup is not okay but i wanted the truck and didn't want to wait a year plus... had to do the same thing for my Focus RS when it came out. One of the few on the roads in Northern Virginia at the moment.

Congrats. Watch the Savage Geese review. They called the Raptor "Whimsical" and if you like sports cars (evident in the M3 purchase) this sounds like the right truck for people like us. I like sports cars and expect handling and performance from anything I own. The Raptor when it gets here in May will be my 5th vehicle. My wife is a saint. I'm also taking her to Greece..... The ledger matters.

Niiiiiiice! Been waiting to see a Shelter Green out in the wild. I'm sure pics never do it justice but I like what I'm seeing. Can't wait!

Very nice 👍.
Sharp looking truck.
That’s pretty much what I am paying for mine too. For the same reasons.
If you think about it and say you could order one at MSRP there will be likely price increases on the 2025 maybe even on late 2024 models .

I did the exact same thing when I bought my Bronco . Paid 2k over even when I did it, it’s msrp was 2k less then what a new order would have been, within 30 - 45 days another 2500 increase hit. I was in the black within 60 days if looking at net paid vs new order at new msrp.

Sick! I'm actually ironically doing the same thing. Trading my 2021 tanzanite blue M3 for a Shelter Green ranger raptor. How are you liking the new truck?

It is a different beast for sure. Way easier to get in and out of... i dont worry about pot holes anymore but i was surprised that between the two both having 3L twin turbo 6 cyl with just over 400 HP and 400+ torque the ranger feels like a dog... when the boost hit in the M3 it was significant, the truck is less punchy and shifts a lot... (10 speed geared for speeds from 0-130 vs a 7 speed that has to cover 0-170+). I wouldn't trade back because as an all around vehicle to be used as my daily one and only vehicle this is the one... also, the truck bed is 48" between the wheel wells which means it can fit a piece of ply wood... none of the other small trucks i have had were able to do that, the plywood would have to be up on one of the wheel humps in the truck bed.

You have the newer G8X so it will be an even more significant change, but the tech in the ranger blows the tech in my F80 out of the water... it is a whole different ballpark and the interior is extremely well put together, not quite BMW quality, but pretty darn close as far as i am concerned.

As i drive it more i'll let you know what else i find... today was first day commuting to and from work in DC and i got 19.5 mpg on the 40 mile drive, so that was better than advertised but not as good as the 23 i averaged in my BMW.

More to follow... cheers

Right on... my wife was in Rome with my daughters for spring break while i had to stay back and work when i bought this... so i'm with you on the ledger haha. and i am with you on multiple cars... my wife likes to remind me that in the 18 years we have been married i have bought and sold over 20 cars. made money on a few, lost on most but i have loved them all! The RR is nice and was the perfect all around vehicle for me like you said... sporty and utility... i had the explorer ST for a while and that was way more sporty than this but this is made for baja, not street. either way, anyone who buys the ranger raptor has more than likely done their homework and are buying it because they are enthusiasts like us and they will love it!

Yeah it's physics and aerodynamics really making it more of a dog.

M3 curb weight: 3890 pounds
Raptor Curb Weight: 5350 pounds

Glad you're enjoying it though! Can't wait to take delivery on mine. If it's a dog its a wild one!

Congrats! Plan on doing the same, selling my G80 M3 this weekend to make room for my incoming Ranger Raptor.
