yeah, hopefully that is the reason. I had the originals on my jeep wrangler in the 90's and they were fantastic. The KO2's on my Tacoma just suck on wet roads but they are great otherwise.Suck in the rain maybe because my taco is so light..I live in the south so no snow otherwise great
I’ve found that K02 tires are highly rated in rain and snow, I’ve traveled in Northern Canada in the rain and snow and all across the southern US in rain. However once you get 25,000-30,000 miles on them they become slippery as heck.Hopefully they are better in wet conditions. My ko2s on my tacoma are terrible in the rain

Yep, lots of tread left but they get slipper. I on my third set, I’ve read that the K03 has a somewhat more aggressive tread design, goggle K02 vs K03 you can see the break downThat is a really short tire life
Slippery/not good in rain is an automatic no go for me. Florida doesn’t have snow, but it has torrential downpours in the wet season every single day. Good rain tires are my highest priority and then also something that will handle national/state forest dirt roads. But I’m sure mine isn’t going to come with KO3s because I’m getting a 2wd for the first time. I’m sure it’ll come with highway tires I’ll have to take it easy with until I get some ATs on.Yep, lots of tread left but they get slipper.
