Reason to not spray down (LineX) truck bed? Aside from $

My Raptor Ranger came without the LineX spray and I’ve been debating whether doing it. The $500ish cost isn’t a factor, I just think I like original paint on it better. But am I going to Ragret it? Rust? Scratched to bits? I mostly just carry bikes and kayaks with some occasional items. I’ve seen people get the mat but wouldn’t sides get scratched up?

Get the LINE-X spray-in liner. You won't regret it. It's extremely durable and it will look like new for years to come.

Get the line-x with the color match, you will still get the full bed protection without worrying about scratches down the road. My 19 Ranger had the color matched bed & it looked amazing.

I'll never own a truck without a spray in bedliner. If you never plan on hauling anything other than cotton balls (or anything at all), sure, you can skip it. ?

After they spray it you will never know it was scratched up. So you can use it now, scratch it up and then decide if you want to spray it. Personally, I got mine sprayed first thing after I got it (was not sprayed from the factory) because I knew the scratches would bug me and I knew they would happen cause it is a truck. Then I got a bed mat to keep things from sliding around. The LineX or Rhino spray in is worth the money.

I got the factory spray liner and added a bedrug mat. Works well for me.

Can't go wrong with a spay-in bedliner imo. I also LOVE the Bed Rug, their Awesome' I have the spray-in liner with a Bed Rug on top of it in my truck. Makes it easy on the knees!!!

It’s the one for 2024 ranger. I got it from real truck and they confirmed it would fit and it did. Took less than 30 minutes to install.

I laughed at this, it's based on my handle. Reason most people have trucks is to carry the mulch bags twice a year.

The bed is made of aluminum it’ll dent relatively easy. So I would highly recommend a bed-liner. I love the one that came with my Raptor it’s so durable.

After I retired from the military, I was the supervisor of a large Ford dealership body and paint shop for five years. I got to know a bit about spray in liners since some vehicles had to be repaired and some customers wanted it added. Plus I've had Line-X in several of my F-150s. The different brands use different materials. Rhino for example is very soft and can get gouged. Others use straight poly urea material. Go with the Line-X. It's poly urea mixed with another material. Very tough and durable. They now have options such as color matching as mentioned in another post, and a UV protectant to help keep it from fading. I never had any problem with scratches or gouging, only with fading before they offered the UV protectant. Line-X is warrantied good at any shop in the nation. But my advice is to check the ratings, on Yelp for example, of the Line-x shop. They are individually owned and quality of workmanship can vary as with any business. The shop in my town was very good back when I dealt with them at the dealership. Then the owner sold it and the last job I got there on my truck was poor. Check thickness of the material when done, especially at the edges (mine peeled) make sure they didn't get done in less time than it would have taken to wait and spray the UV protectant, (they missed that on mine) if there's any bed bolts they should remove them and replace after spraying, make sure any drain holes or open seams are not plugged with sealant, if you don't want the big plastic "Line-X" emblem stuck to the inside of the bed they will hand it to you to put in your glove box as proof of purchase if warranty needed. Most of their shops are good, but it always pays to make sure. I had my defects fixed but I shouldn't have had to. But don't let that scare you away, I do recommend Line-X.

In my experience there will be that one time a year when your friend asks you to help him pick up pavers at Home Depot. Spray in for life! ?
