I'd pay money for an exhaust that I could hear the turbos spooling but I have a feeling it would have to be overall louder than I am willing to accept on a daily.

Kinda need to replace the OEM cats to hear turbos more.

Update: I ponied up and am happy. Exhaust sounds great. Not so happy with the valve controller, but I am working with milltek for a fix.

It sounds way better in person, or crank up a good surround sound system, headphones, can tell a big difference.
What happened with the valve controls? It didn’t plug/play with your factory steering wheel controls ?

Truthfully, they’re overpriced. Last thing to change would be an exhaust. No appreciable whp gains.???
‘Yeah, I really hate the fact that the superfluous valving has tripled the cost of a good exhaust system.
I would gladly pay $900-$1200 for a good cat back system that improves the tone and gets rid of some of the raspy sound, but $2700-$3000 for something that doesn’t add any real HP is out of the question.

Yes, you're correct Milltek put a year into this one. What aftermarket parts are you referring to? I already have CAI, BOV, Charge pipes, Turbo back exhaust, Intercooler, HPFP, Bigger injectors, Bigger Turbos, Catch can, Trans Cooler, Trans upgrade, etc. Every bolt on performance related part I can think of. I've not went internal yet, but there is already parts for that too. Warranty, I usually void mine before I leave the dealership.
Where did you get your HPFP and Injectors along with bigger turbos? Did you get a custom tune from someone since you are running those things? Also i dont see you say anything about Downpipes are you looking into these? I have CAI and Charge pipes with stage 1 intercooler and a FRPP tuner. I am really wanting some SPD down pipes i hear they are coming soon.

I don’t think it sounds bad. I just don’t think it sounds different enough for the increased cost of a new exhaust
Agree. While I can tell some difference in sounding a little deeper, I am happy with mine running in Baha. I am watching the Borla posts and hoping to be able to get the options for the tailpipe section. Wonder how much cutting and welding it involved in these.

Agree on both points. I had the Borla catback on my '19 Lariat and it was about $1K. Happy with current sound on my Raptor. Following the Borla system development.

I’m sorry I missed your message here. We’ve got downpipes now if you haven’t pulled the trigger already.

Personally, I could care less about the sound of my Raptor. And from reading all these comments I realize I am in the minority. That being said, I have always thought giving an engine the ability to breathe in (CAI) and breath out (catback) would allow said engine to operate more efficiently and reliably. At a rated mpg of 18 mpg, I would be interested in knowing whether this upgrade, as well as a CAI (considering S & B) would help with getting a bit more mpg out of this engine? Also considering a Turbosmart intercooler and the Ford Procal tune.

Well i cant speak on the downpipes as far as help mpg, but i can say with the ford procal and running 93oct and a CAI with charge pipes and stage 1 intercooler, and my wife drives it like miss daisy we have yet to see any increase in mpg’s what’s so ever. I should have my downpipes installed within the next week and have a road trip upcoming Nov to see how it does.
