"At the end of the day its 400 bucks as well, that shouldnt be an issue to anyone here."

You've been acting like this isn't a big deal before you even had a ranger, and now that you do and it's without the flaw, you're saying $400 shouldn't be a big deal to anyone here. Read the room. It's the cost, the time needed to get it done (time is money), and the fact it needs to be done at all on every 6g before the '25 model year.

But you don't get that. You don't see how entirely tone-deaf this kind of thinking is, nor how entitled you sound. SMH...

PS: a design flaw is a defect.

"Definition
A design defect is a flaw in a product's design that makes it dangerous to consumers. Design defects can occur when a product is manufactured correctly but has a flaw in the design."
Once again. I paid the 400 bucks, wasted my time and money having the dealer try to install something I didn't need, which we didn't know until they had already begun the install (hence the post). Go through getting evidence and discussion with my dealer about it to share here. Having to sell my braces at a loss (to help others here who need them) and arrange all of that.

You aren't interested in actually reading that though and just want to complain.

Weird flex bro, but ok.

You still don't get it. You said $400 shouldn't be an issue for anyone here. The money and time may not be a big issue for YOU, but for the majority of us it's absurd.

Maybe this meme will help illustrate how you come across:

The bed corner power is incredible. They are definitely beefier than even the updated bed. It would be nice if Ford would reimburse 2024 owners for at least the part.

Love the addition of vegeta there, 🤣

just received my EGR braces personally and I was worried initially because of the “flimsy look” from the pictures but after having given them a good look in person, they definitely look over 9000 !
I’d go as far as to say the design is probably better than the Ford ones as they’re one unique piece of thick, premium black powder coated steel rather than the welded design Ford is offering.
Just my 2 cents, which, with inflation, equals to… approximately nothing 😝

cheers !

Still waiting for mine to show up. I figure I might get them before my Ranger is old and worn out.

I have had 3, maybe 4 different orders canceled for them now since November, both directly from Ford and other OEM parts distributors. I am considering just buying them from an Australian source that has them in stock and paying the extra ~$40USD. At this point, I can't tell if Ford is actually making more of them. Ford customer service can't help as they have no insight into their actual parts or inventory. Some parts dealers have told me it's a 30 day wait, but I don't think they really know what they are talking about either since my order still gets canceled somewhere between 1 day and two weeks later.

I waited months for Ford and then they finally outright cancelled the order. Ordered from AUS and got it pretty quick, maybe 1-2 weeks.
