Has anyone relocated their keyless entry keypad on a 6G yet?

I've seen threads from the previous generation as well as the Broncos that it is basically a wireless unit that is just double sided taped onto the door and can be removed and relocated.

I'd love to move it someplace less conspicuous.

I installed mine inside the fuel door just like the image above. Works great.
Nice! Was your key pad installed from the factory or was it ordered separately. If you removed it from the door please explain how. Also what did you use to attach it to the fuel door. I’m assuming it’s just a double sided tape of some kind. Thanks

Mine was bought from the accessories website, not factory installed.

From what i've seen, you should be able to apply some heat (blowdryer or heat-gun) and use something like dental floss to pry the adhesive off the truck's body. It's just some 3M tape strips that hold it on so you shouldn't have any issue removing it.

What are you hoping to accomplish buy placing it in the fuel door?
I added mine, placed it on the drivers door B Pillar

Jeff, just remember you’re mounted on vinyl. That’s why I decided to mount it above the door handle centered.🇺🇸

This is on a 2024?
So the whole assembly comes off, there no wires, no holes in the body?
It's a wireless module that sends signals just as the key fob does.

Looks great!
I’m going to do the same, I ordered a new cover that I’ll paint matte black, I’ll keep the original painted cover if I ever want to move it back to the door.

What paint did you use?

No paint, it's the accessory parts natural color. It was either there or inside the fuel door.
