Hi, has anyone installed any brake upgrades for the current Ranger Raptor?. In general they work great but under heavy acceleration and braking they start to fade after a few minutes. I would like to know what is out there and if anyone has installed them, preferrably that wor with the stock wheels.

I have seen a bunch of "brembo" kits from asia but they are likely knock offs.

In the US there are a few options, but would like to learn from the experience of those who have installed them. I searched in wilwood and the ranger is not even listed, they ofer a 6-piston one for one of the modern bronco versions, but not sure if it will fit the ranger (see image below).

Thanks for the info.

following!
My brakes improved with 5K on them. Not sure it was bedding or a precursory layer or me adapting to them. Definitely better pedal feel than first 2000 miles.

My truck is 2023 with 15k miles on it, I don't think the brakes will improve any further, hehehe.

I get it! I was just "unimpressed" with them early on and they have improved... Are they 6 pot brembo or even 4 pot good... simply NO. Interested in pad choices first then larger calipers/rotors/pad combos. Interested in what you find. Thanks for asking the question.

if nothing come out that is reliable I would change the pads for redstuffs, as the yelowstuff brake better but sometimes squeal.

Following this thread.
I completely agree these brakes are way undersized for the power and weight of this vehicle.

If an upgrade option was available I’d buy it tomorrow!

I have used them in multiple vehicles I have owned and they brake good and have superior resistance to fade. However, sometimes they are noisy, mostly when driving slow or reaching a bump and they generate a considerable amount of dust.

Last pads change I made on my wife's car was the redstuff and Im very pleased with the results because its an elegant large sedan, so not a race machine, and has light colored wheels, so dust was an issue. Now it brakes better, no noise and way less dust.

My wheels are the stock ones, so brake dust would not be an issue, but the sqeal may...

The problem is with the size of the calipers and rotors themselves.
Different pads are just going to be a marginal “bandaid” fix. Doesn’t solve the actual problem.

Pad make a huge difference . Now if you already have high friction pads then no. but going from cheap stock to EBC its alot different . If you cannot get another inch larger rotor or more. then pads are your only options.

There will be a direct relationship with increased noise and decreased rotor life with high performance brake pads. Not to mention cold vs hot operating temps compared to friction coefficient.

The only way to improve all of there’s factors across the board is larger calipers and rotors…
