I’ve been driving around in ECO mode the last few days, and mileage seems to be noticeably better.
Having to answer the question “return to eco?” every time I start the truck is annoying. Any way to get around this and stay in ECO mode until I decide to switch?

Thanks.

Nope that's the way it works. I have been doing that on mine for over a year. Gets to be routine when I get in and start it.

i like eco mode too, the trans shifts so smooth you never feel the gear changes.

but no, not even forscan will get it so you can start in eco, i tried by turning off normal and the truck would still start in normal but would no longer let me change the trans mode. you can turn off every mod but normal, which sucks

I'm no helicopter pilot, but I sure feel like one having to push all these buttons and turn knobs just to go. Bwahahahaha

My feeling exactly! Why can’t it just stay in the mode I put it in last time!

I used eco mode my whole 400 mile trip today and did get about 2mph better then normal at 80mph. But the shifting is so much smoother

Hey Ford, you listening? Two words - "memory button". I do have two other words, but I'll keep those to myself.

I gave eco mode a shot after reading this thread and I also experienced far smoother shifting. Will be using that mode primarily now.
