Steering assist fault + speedo

Has anyone come across this? Drive ability was not affected, while in park the speedometer will fluctuate from 0-1-2 in a randomized order, speedo on my way home seemed to work perfectly fine and read accurately with my Waze app, I’m going to unplug the battery and let it sit for a hour so see if it’ll reset everything. any help would be greatly appreciated! I had the exact same thing happen to me today.
24 Lariat, had been raining heavy outside, parked on a slight downhill slope in a parking lot.

I used remote start as I was walking to the truck. When I got in and closed the door the truck shut off and displayed a message like "vehicle turned off". I thought I bumped something. So I started it again and got the same message as your post. Steering assist fault, service required". And the speedometer was fluctuating from 0 to 6mph I believe, and it slowly calmed down to zero. I turned the vehicle off and on again with no message and drove home no issue.

I have a good OBD scanner that I'll plug in later to see if any codes were saved. Odd.

Another post with a similar issue mentioned a speed sensor fault caused this.

Yup, same symptoms, and I did see it could possibly be a speed sensor issue, I unplugged the battery for around half an hour, plugged it back in and it’s been normal, will keep updating if anything changes
