Good information in here, I have the right-side box to install after I get the cover on the bed. The fun job of removing the plastic trim pieces on top of the bed.

I went and checked my brackets tonight. Looks like the one for the bed that uses the tie down bolts lines up prefect. The rear bracket that the case swings on doesn't line up. The older Gen has 3 holes, looking at the photos posted there are only two and three bracket is shorter. I'll have to do some dry fits but I'll likely just drill new holes in the bracket.
I'm in a similar situation. I took the box off my 2020 Ranger and want to install it on my 2024 Ranger. Were you able to drill the holes for the hinge/pivot bracket? Did it align when you finished? Thanks.

Any recommendations for better replacements for the torx bolts. Two came out fine and two were destroyed and required the vice-grip method. The F were they thinking? Also, what is the thread size? Thx.

Copy and paste from my post in another thread. Hopefully help someone out with install.

My first case install went poorly. Three of the four bolts torx stripped, and one of these broke while removing with vice grips. The broken bolt spun right out after the drill heated it up, so I learned to use heat in the future.
I’ve really enjoyed the case otherwise, so I bought the matching one for the passenger side.

This time i held a pencil torch on each bolt head for a minute before trying to remove. All four came out without difficulty, and this method had the added bonus of not having to fight the spray in bedliner. Heat is the key, ford used a ridiculous amount of blue thread lock on these bolts.
I still replaced em with flange bolts to match the driver side, but could have reused all four.

Ridiculous factory thread lock application:

Bolts thread is 8mmx1.25, length is 25mm.
I replaced with flange bolts, but theres clearance for about any head style.

Has anyone done this install with the Ford modular drop in liner?

was also wondering if anyone had any install videos, I can’t seem to find any for the Ford cases specifically on our trucks.

thanks!!

Installed passenger side Ford storage bin. Quality seems OK but they are overpriced. I think it’ll be useful though.

I'm thinking about getting a swing case for the passenger side. Does anyone have a photo showing how far the swing case extends into the bed past the fender well, if at all? So that is a photo taken from directly behind the truck. I would like to be able to load two dirt bikes with the swing case in place. But I think that the outer foot peg may contact the swing case.

Added a swing case from Reat truck to the drivers side, and installed my N-Fab spare tie down.
Added a couple of adjustable position cross bars for hauling things above bed.
Still need to mount my air compressor to the left of the spare.
But coming along.

It has 3 anchor points bolted to the bed floor, and yes then ratchets to secure the tire to the bed floor. It alllows you to have multiple tire sizes, diameter and width.
You can most definitely pat it and say, that ain’t going nowhere!

I understand your point. I have a Bakflip MX4 bed cover that sits flush and I’d like to keep it on the truck. The accessories I have are secured using T-Slot hardware, which is why I was asking about this setup. Will the L-Track work, or will I need to reconfigure the hardware?

Thanks.

My swing box came from Real truck, which I’m pretty sure is exactly the boxes Ford puts their logo on and sells accordingly.
I bought mine on sale they had.

All these toolboxes are made in the same factory in Missouri and branded according to who is selling them.
