Goosetuned Tuning Thread - Ranger/Bronco 3.0 Raptor +300hp!

For those of you who are wondering what detonation sounds like, or what a tune that is not properly calibrated for the right fuel sounds like, check this out!

I had the opportunity to retune a bronco raptor that was previously tuned way too aggressive for the application, and fuel quality: Arizona, California, Nevada 91 octane. We call this fuel 91ACN and have for over a decade.

The advantage that we have is we have been tuning this fuel for the past 13 to 14 years over multiple platforms, including our own vehicles. It also helps that we right next-door to Arizona and can test in any environment.

Phoenix Arizona is known for its extreme temperatures, and poor fuel. It does not get any worse than this and needs to be thoroughly understood to keep vehicles alive for a long time!

Nostrum was kind enough to send us over their Stage X Fuel system (featuring the new Goliath HPFP) to test on our Bronco Raptor.

This is the first ever Stage X system to be put on a Bronco Raptor! They also sent their ESSIM Flex Fuel sensor kit that you guys have seen before.

We got it all buttoned up yesterday and started our initial tuning.

Once I finish I may take it back to the dyno for some more numbers. I'd expect maybe another 10-20hp, not much.

My unlocked ECU has been installed for about two weeks; it’s running GooseTuned‘s base tune, +100hp over stock. I still need to do the data logging to fine tune everything, but WOW does it pull with just the base map. I had the pro cal tune before which was and improvement over stock, but the GooseTuned tune is something else.

I just installed an S&B air box and project west charge pipes. Kept the side cover off the air box which adds suction sounds and blow off purges.

Next up is data logging and finalizing the tune.
