Yea, I even had some dealers that were still wanting 5K over even on the ones that we caught up in the stop sale. Just step right up and give us a deposit and we will get the truck to you soon as Ford comes up with a fix, sometime late 4th quarter was their best guess. LOL

The one I ended up buying and is outside the stop sale dates, is possibly arriving at the dealership today. It was showing to be on transport and scheduled to get delivered today.

I too got 500 trade assistance and 500 discount for something else, total $1000 under MSRP. LOL

I used Auto trader and pulled a search for a 300 mile radius of my Zip for the color I wanted and started firing off emails till I found one that could be sold, and one a dealer that would give me a decent price on my trade.

Getting pretty stoked about it. I don't know why since I drive my 2024 RR every day, but still looking forward to the new build.
Nice! What’s the difference between the 2024 and the 2025?

Nothing that I am aware of since I wanted White and again buying another white one.
I think even the prices stayed the same.

There were some colors option changes in terms of some of the more unusual colors for 2025.
Since I am just buying white, I don't think there is any difference.

Well, the 2025 will already have the proper bed bracing so I won't have to add those brackets in order to put stuff on the bed rails.

This one will be getting setup more like the SUV I am trading for it, in that I plan to have a carpeted bed liner and topper put on this one.

My 24 is more of work truck / run about with toolboxes and racks and such on it.

But I like driving my RR so much, I got to thinking, that I really wish Ford made an SUV version of it, and then got to thinking I really don't need a 3rd row, I just need a covered lockable cargo area, so why not try and make something sort of like an SUV in functionality with a topper to create an enclosed cargo area, and use another Ranger Raptor as the bases for it.

So that is what I am doing.

They have one, it's called the Ford Everest. Just not sold in the US.

Yep I love those things.
Always felt it a shame we don’t get those here. All we get here in the states in that size of SUV is the car based unibody stuff like the Explorer, which a buddy of mine asked me today why not just get an Explorer.
Vs another Ranger Raptor with a topper.

Simple, I told him I am just not really a fan of unibody car based SUVs.
‘I even told him About Everest they build down in Australia and other global markets.

I think the Everest and especially if they offer an Everest Raptor, I really feel the Everest would be a big hit here in the states if Ford were to ever decide to bring it to the US market.

Seems there is always rumors Ford maybe brining the Everest to the US market, but still hasn’t happened.

This is very disappointing. I heard of something like this with Highlanders two years ago. A boatload of them were on dealers lots and could not be sold due to an issue. Dealers had customer ordered vehicles sitting for months. You would think this would he a priority for Ford to get the fix straightened out.
Ford has shown over the years that their ONLY priority is the F-150s. Their second highest priority is likely still the Maverick. It has long been my opinion that Ford was never really that happy with the Ranger market. They keep the content on them purposefully low so as not to attract people away from their sacred cow (F-150). I honestly believe that is why the Rangers went into hiatus a couple times. Sales were low so production was halted. Ford just NEVER bothered to ask the consumer why the sales were low. Limited options, underpowered drive train, etc. Look at the aftermarket accessories for them. Endless accessories for the F-150 (no surprise given how many are sold). There seems to be a LOT more options out there available for the Mavericks than the Rangers even. Make no mistake, I LOVE my RR. I had a 2022 Lariat immediately before this truck and it paled in comparison. Ford just doesn't go all out on the Ranger (unless of course you're in Malaysia where you can get the PLATINUM Rangers). Check out the interior of the Platinum...

Yes, Ford does not seem to want to push selling the Ranger. Can't even get a Ford Employee discount for the Ranger, where i could get it on the Maverick.

I have a 2025 XLT 2.3L MPC on order. I have heard nothing about getting a VIN and scheduling it to be built in 2 months.

Obviously, I am hoping by the time its built they will have the recall items figured out.
It is I think 2025 NA truck of the year. If there's still problems with quality and possible Tariffs imported to Canada I can bail on it and loose $500.

As Canadians we ? buying US products. I am a Ford Guy and wish to support Ford.
Even ? buying an ICE vehicle. The vehicles are complex enough as its and cannot afford a Hybrid if it was offered. I figure you cannot just have EV cars. There has to be a variety of propulsion units.
Even a place that has mainly hydro electric the Grid cannot support all EV. i think Ford was smart having the Ranger all US made. Where the Taco is made in US and Mexico.

My rant maybe not fully related to the posts topic.

How does this “recall stop sale” affect used 24/25 Rangers? Can a private individual still sell/buy a used Ranger from a dealership?

As an individual, you should be sell a truck you own.
‘I think dealers are under different rules and regulations when it comes to safety recalls.

In Pennsylvania a dealer can sell a used vehicle with a recall but must let the buyer know about the recall in writing. They can not sell a new vehicle with a recall.
