Leer HF650M on 2025 Ranger?

I bought a Leer HF650M Tonneau cover through Ford for my 2025 Ranger XLT. It arrived today and when I unboxed it, I was surprised to find no instructions!
I watched the generic installation video by Leer, but not only is it not very detailed, it also does not mention some of the parts that came with my cover...
I searched for a 6G Ranger installation video, but I did not find one.
Can anybody point me in the right direction or give me some pointers for installing this cover?

I installed the 3-panel from Leer, and you're right, there is absolutely no bragging rights on their chintzy instruction pamphlet it comes with. From a top shelf company like Leer, that's been around for decades, this is really unacceptable and I let them know (for what that's worth).
What should have been just a couple hour install, ended up taking me about 6 hours to get everything functioning perfect. I found an install video for the HF350M (virtually the same as the 4-panel I'm sure), and that got me pretty close, watching different parts over and over, finally got things figured out. I watched several other videos from other YouTubers, on installs from other tonneau cover manufacturers and that also shed some light.

It's on Ford's service website. you can also buy access to the shop manuals and stuff. different prices. 72hrs access is like 20 bucks

instructions reference t40 torx. but they are t40 torx plus bits. t40 will strip the heads with the locktite the factory used.

Yes, factory used RED Loctite on all Torx bolts, lord knows why when Blue would have sufficed nicely. If you need to remove any of the Torx bolts, make sure to clean any bed liner spray out of them first and don't use an impact gun to try and drive them out, just ruins the bolts (they are really in there). Though , I don't remember needing to take any out, for the Tonneau install.

Thanks, everyone! I eventually figured it out. The rail clamps/clips are nothing like the ones shown in the Leer video - where they appear to be mounting the cover on an F-150. Instead, on my Ranger, I first had to remove 4 plastic push pin type fasteners that Ford used to mount the plastic bed rail covers to the bed. Then, the rail clips supplied by Leer are bolted straight through the existing holes where the push pins used used to be.
Also, the cover came with 2 single hole stainless steel tie down mounts that get mounted to the front of the bed for the yellow safety straps to clip to. There was no mention of these in the Leer video.
I still have a short roll of very sticky, rubbery material that came with the cover, but I have no idea where it would be used….
My cover only had a very small diagram that was enclosed in the small plastic bag containing the prop rod clips. This small diagram only showed where the prop rod clips mount. Other than that small diagram, my cover came with no other instructions!
Overall, it took me about 2 hours to figure everything out and get the cover mounted properly. A simple instruction sheet would have made this a 30 minute job!

Sorry, got to this too slow. I have the HF650M and went through the same process, but I didn't have much trouble because I did a bunch of research before buying from all the different brands and recognized the different install strategies.

The BakFlip MX4 rails are identical short needing to piece the HF650M rails together first (which the printed manual and their video covered). The printed manual and LEER video also mentioned putting the foam at the ends, so I kind of combined those strategies.

This video was extremely helpful and very similar for the rails.

Thank you! Yes, the Leer rail clips are different, but they mount in the same places. The Leer also came with yellow safety straps that the Bakflip does not appear to have. My Leer kit also came with a short, 2 or 3 foot roll of very sticky rubbery stuff that is about 1 1/2” wide that I still have no idea where it would be used as the Leer does not require you to mount the strap clip receivers as the Bakflip video shows.

Yeah, I couldn't find a use for the putty like strip either. It's too short to use on the side rails, so my assumption was it was to go against the cab if the soft foam wasn't enough. I didn't use it on my install. Admittedly my cover isn't perfectly waterproof, but that's not what I was after anyway.
