First thing that jumped out at me too. Should be an indicator to intro more trims/options that will appeal to even more consumers. From what i am reading it looks like 54.7 % change of volume. The highest on that list of Ford Vehicles and you still have Q4 to go. My order being built in Q4 is padding the stats.
As of today, TRUCAR shows 5,378 unsold new Rangers to include older model years, not just 2025. Many of those older models such as 2024 have not been discounted due to depreciation, about 7% a year average based upon model. TRUCAR does not show all available new vehicles, what dealers are hiding from view, or what only dealers have access to via their Ford dealer system. Probably closer to 6,000 unsold Rangers with the 2026s just around the corner.
Just a reminder, 2024 Q1 sales was very low due to delays in getting the truck to the dealership.Wonder why YoY Q4 Ranger growth is so much higher than YoY Q3 (which was flat)?
2024 Q1 didn't have any Rangers on the lot. 23MY was almost sold out and 24MY was delayed in part due to the strike. So last year YTD sales numbers where lower then normal. From what i am reading it looks like 54.7 % change of volume. The highest on that list of Ford Vehicles and you still have Q4 to go. Inventory was different in 2024 (new year/generation model came out). Doesn't match demand.Wonder why YoY Q4 Ranger growth is so much higher than YoY Q3 (which was flat)?
if you look at that true car data of existing inventory, 7%.What percentage of those sales are Raptors? Can’t seem to find that information anywhere. Raptors are around 5% of F150’s built so I’m assuming it’s higher for Ranger Raptor since the price is much less. 10% maybe? Curious to know how many Ranger Raptors are out there.
7%, that would put around 7,000ish Ranger Raptors on the roads for the new generation (2024-2025) combined. I’m glad to be part of such a small club. I’ve only seen one other Ranger Raptor ever and that was once maybe 5 months ago. I’ve seen a few regular Rangers, but can count them on one hand. I see the F150 version all the time, but they have been around for a decade now.if you look at that true car data of existing inventory, 7%.
sounds about right.
although I am amazed at how many raptors I see on the road.
interesting the sales figures for the ranger ove the last few years. That move from 5th to 6th gen was rough
it will be interesting to see where the ranger sales go next year

The ranger is positioned as a small selling vehicle for them. It fills a market niche for them so its never going to produce or sell gang busters. The Maverick is insanely popular and so is the f150. The ranger fits a very specific niche and easily gets sales stolen from it by the other 2 models.Seems like the sales are flatlining, if not declining compared to last year?
Have you seen the Tacoma has sold around 200,000 units/yr.. Not quite F150 numbers, but I'd call that gang busters. Making the Ranger a $50,000 truck when you option leather is just plain wrong. The ranger is positioned as a small selling vehicle for them. I mean everyones got different threshold for features they want. 50k unfortunately just doesnt go as far as it use to these days for reason that are forbidden to discuss on this forum.Have you seen the Tacoma has sold around 200,000 units/yr.. I want a Lariat, but I haven't been able to make sense of the deal yet.
IMO, Ford leadership has fallen in love with the EV with a $4 billion investment and that led to gas engine model and option trade offs to make up that money. The F150 dropped the Supercab Lariat, and now is the more expensive crew cab with a shorter bed. What is offered overseas is not offered in North America on the same Ranger model levels. A US Ranger is a great truck but the Chevy Colorado and it's GMC equivalent is there and soon the RAM Dakota will be joining the party. Maverick is very popular but it's XL is meh. The overpriced Lariat is not a Lariat with one power seat, no auto dim mirror, no Homelink, vinyl seats, odd interior colors, same non-ported 2.0 optional engine on all models, unibody, 4 FT bed. What was supposed to be a 20K (not a real truck) eco-friendly urban utility vehicle for the masses now is nearly 30K, and the Mav Lariat has gone up $12K in just a few model years. Pass. To me, the best Ranger value-wise, not everyone's personal use or preference-wise, is the Raptor because you get a whole lot for just a little bit more than a Lariat and less depreciation. I crunched the numbers, options, features, benefits, listened to lots of great Ranger owners on this Forum, and, if you can swing a Raptor, buy it.Have you seen the Tacoma has sold around 200,000 units/yr..
