2025 XLT with a A.R.E. CX Classic truck cap installed

She's starting to look more and more like I want it! cap got the roofrack rails so I can get accessories to go on it for camping. or exploring. kayak carrier, basket, roof top tent, the possibilities are endless! Before and After the A.R.E. CX Classic was installed. and Yes I removed that big action decal in the middle of the rear window. lol

Thing looks sick! I have a soft topper cover that I bought but I'm about to sell it. I just can't sleep at night with valuables in it while its street parked it in queens nyc. have you had any leaks, how do you like it?

after driving through rain, I did notice there is some. not a lot, from the hole at the front of the bulk head. just look up under your rails. but not a lot. when parked I didnt notice any, as the cap does go down over the plastic bed rail cap I love it. got it on, and actually went camping on the other side of part of my province. 3 days 1,650kms everything was great. I originally wanted the folding front glass for ease of cleaning back glass. but I went with just thr optional sliding pane, If I had my time back, I would of got the folding and sliding front glass. and on that camping trip, I fucked up and put my jerry cans my the axle in the pan, made me wish I got the side windoors. lol

get the folding and sliding front glass for sure. I regret swapping from the folding/sliding front glass to just the sliding front to help keep cost down.

and I do wish I got the side windoors, but overall just got to pack the truck up better next time. lol

I did have a mid rise on my old 2008 ranger, that I do miss the height while inside, but my plan os a basket/rack, a side awing, maybe a rooftop tent at some point. so thats why I went with the low instead of a mid/high rise.

got a hitch mount bike rack, and a 5x10 utility trailer, so that didnt effect my decision for a low rise cap, But I can see how it could sway others. I do have a folding ebike I can put in the pan standing up, folded. lolol took that camping to go from our site to the comfort station(washroom/showers) and I do miss the higher height inside. but it was the trade off for how I want to set the truck up. either a load bearing basket or flat rack, some lights, and a side awning. then could get different carries for the roof rails to haul bikes or kayaks, etc while gone out with the camper or tents. have it set up to be able to just go. lol

Thats what i use now, a hitch mounted rack the wheels sit in but when traveling to rides across the state, i am always worried about the bike on the rack, or in the bed. My bikes an older lightning p38 and is fully loaded so it would cost a bunch to replace it. (Not saying it wouldnt cost others a ton to replace theirs either though).

Yeah, I'm gonna drop it on the RR when it gets here to see. Just have to wait a couple more months....

if its like my cx classic cap. should just swap the fibreglass tailgate cap on the door. 8 big rivets holding it on. so might get lucky and just change the cap, and not truck.

Looks nice. Do you mind listing the vertical height measurement from the bed to the cap door opening, and inside from the bed to the interior ceiling of cap, please? I'd like to estimate a total cargo capacity.
