If it makes you feel better my Golf R dosnt have tpms or any sensors in the tire to measure psi... on a 2024. It uses the speed sensor to sense the tire going faster because its a smaller diameter from low psi and that triggers low pressure light. Now thats cheaping out.
I don't know, my 2015 Golf TDI had the same thing and I liked it, it didn't give false alarms when the outside temperature changed and no failures of internal TPMS transmitters to worry about.

Sorry, I forgot to post this. Everything fit just like it should.

Looks nice! Any differences in sound levels? (Can’t really imagine there would be)

No, I haven't noticed any difference. Other than closing the hood had a more dampened thud to it. I mainly did it to protect the paint from any excess heat.

I did my doors several months ago and having the roof done today. HUGE difference in sound and heat reduction.

Yes, it was supposed to have been done at the time of the recall. Apparently some dealers have figured out that you can do the recall w/o pulling the headliner so it didn’t get done.

I look forward to update once it's done. I've thought about doing this. I find the cabin can get pretty loud in heavy rain. Normally it just means the radio gets turned up louder. Are you getting it done at the dealership? Any idea how long it takes or how hard it is to get the headliner out?

Is it part of a recall or do you pay?

The dealers most senior tech who currently holds every possible FORD certification is doing it as a side job today (at the dealership) charging me $200 plus the materials I supplied ($100). He had the headliner out in about an hour. I recorded going through the car wash on my decimeter app of a before. ( not sure if it’s still there on my new phone, but I remember it peaking close to a hundred)
To see the whole process, check flaverdoopin on YouTube. He does a bunch of upgrades to his raptor and explains the process thoroughly.

I was hoping to get it done when they had the headliner out for the airbag recall but apparently they can do the recall without dropping the headliner. So I am paying about $300 including $100 in materials.

Is that the 2.3? It seems for some reason the 2.3s get one, but the 2.7s don't. Maybe they get hotter or make a bit more noise.
