I was wondering if anyone out there installed 265/70/18 tires on the stock 55 degree 18 inch wheels without any lift, spacers, new control arms, etc. Basically on stock 2025 suspension without any clearance issues? Any pics would be appreciated! TIA

They will fit properly. There gap will. be around 1/4" inch between the tire and suspension.

On stock 255, there a little less of 1/2 inch of clearance. I wouldnt buy 275s without spacers or new wheels.

Every tire, lets say 265 width, have not the same actual width, results may vary. I think youre clear to buy 265 without issue.

I've had 265/65/18 tires on my stock Lariat wheels for a year and a half now, with Zero issues:

You should be fine with the 265/70/18 tires.

Those duratracs are LIGHT. Nice choice for less gas consumption.
Most other wheels start to get heavy when Load Range is C or E. Last time I took out a BFG KO2 in 265/70/R17 i had to help myself with both feet to pull it up to put the lugnuts.

Not just heavier, they result in a harsher ride due to the stiffer side walls, or so I've heard.

Unless rock crawling or in some sort of terrain that is prone to damaging 4 ply tires.

I highly recommend trying to find a tire in a 4 ply or SL (standard load) the added weight of the LT-C,D,F tires = performance , fuel milage, range, ride quality. A load range E 10 ply had adverse effects to all those categories.

Iagree the BFG KO3 & 2's are way to heavy for this truck. Durations look like a good option.

Did you have your speedo and transmission shift points adjusted with the larger tires?

No. I thought that I might have to, but my Speedometer is over-reporting by 2mph (if it says 40mph, I'm actually only going 38mph) so I left it alone.
Bigger tires should have made it under-report, so it must have been over-reporting by about 3mph with the stock tires (I got new tires the same day I picked up my new truck, so I never had a chance to check the speedometer with the stock tires).
I wanted to go with slightly taller tires (265/70/18) but I was afraid of what it might do to the Speedometer and Tranny shift points. Now, in hindsight, I realize that I could have gone with taller tires without issue; and my speedometer might be closer to correct. I haven't noticed any issues with my Tranny - it shifts like a Dream!
But, hey, I probably won't get any speeding tickets with it like it is now.

Just put on 265/70/18 's on my 2026 Lariat 2.7L. I thought there would be more rake but I'm guessing the coil springs have more capacity on the 2.7's than the 2.3's.

Anyway, I was going to do a Ready Lift 1.5" level, but I've decided to do the 1" level from FordRangerLifts instead. My personal opinion is when these trucks are too "leveled" they look to high, I still like a little bit of rake. But I also will have a rubber bed mat and hard bed cover which will take away some rake on it's own.

Tires are Bridgestone Dueler Ascent A/T's, standard load. They are "on-road" all terrains and very quiet. Had them on an F150 and was very happy.

Looks good. I have a 1-1/2" kit I haven't installed yet. I think I'm going to go the 1" route now.

Thanks!

I measured from floor to fender on front & back, and my front is only 2 1/8" lower than the rear, so a 1" level will still leave about a 1" rake, which is good.

Supposedly the geometry of the ranger front suspension leads to a 2:1 ratio when installing a level (1' lift for every 1/2" of spacer). Each manufacturer is different. I called a few of them and most said that the spacer was half the amount of lift. Ready-Lift, however, told me that their 1.5" level was a 1" spacer. So it seems like it would be more towards a 2" lift. This is why whenever I see a 1.5" level it looks the same as a 2" or 2.5" level. Nont taking the chance of the front looking to high.

I'll post a pic after I get it on.

I used Motofab 2 1/2" lifts, which resulted in actual 2" lift. The pucks are 1 1/2" thick.
Quick mafs.

Kinda wish I went with 2", but may lift rear 1".

Yup, that looks high in the front, so hopefully a 1" rear block will help. Going up a tire size or two to 265/70/18's will look better too.
