Pedal Commander has an antitheft mode, I use it when I have to leave my truck at a hotel.
ueah jhst wait for it to fail, and it self disables your fuel pedal

It knows if it was opened by someone without the key? The only problem with that is I have so many notifications all the time I silent my phone at night so I can sleep. I wonder if there is a way to make the Ford app over ride the silent setting on Android.
No but in Android you can select phone numbers and apps to be an exception to the silence mode.

Apple seems to have some of the solution, but I don’t think it has the full. With my job being an around the clock deal, I’ve got different “focus” status options throughout the day/night. With the sleep focus, it will automatically turn off notifications at scheduled times, but I can prioritize things like certain contacts/apps that can “breakthrough” regardless. Why it is a partial instead of the solution, I can’t seem to select the apps that I want, only from a preselected group of Apple offerings. Seems half baked. But if it could allow deeper customization, it would be perfect. I wonder if Android has similar? (And likely better?)

People think just because it hasnt happend to them doesnt mean it cant or wont happen.
it doesn’t mean it will happen either

even if it did happen to someone you know

i think it is a good discussion but I’ve seen threads on here about preventing stolen spare tires, rear brake lights, vehicle theft and I feel like in general there is this atmosphere of fear in the world.

even though statistically things have been way worse in the past, for example vehicle theft is way down from its peak in the 90s

parking in your garage or even driveway is probably the best thing you can do to prevent theft as most thefts occur near your home anyway.

It honestly depends where you are at in the world. If you drive a Kia or hyundai where im at, its guaranteed going to get stolen. Every restaurant even asks what car you drive because they know it will happen.

Obviously we are on an enthusiast forum so its going to come up a lot more just in general.

Yeah... Kia and Hyundai are so easy to steal even the average teenager can steal one. I wonder what happened to the class action lawsuit that was supposed to be filed against them.

One reason I think the Ranger Raptor is not very high on the list for car thieves to steal is there are so few of them that they stand out and the parts aren't very much in demand and many vehicles are stolen to part out.

Id also argue there just isnt that much value in them on the black market. Its not a Hilux or a Land Cruiser that is getting shipped off to some country in the east and its not a 100k+ truck or bronco as well. I would also wager the size is a thing too, its just not big enough to be "cool" in.

not an issue where i live unless you drive a full size 4x4. they steal them to run to mexico or move drugs here, i am 3 hours from the southern border of texas and its fairly common to have the f150s and 1500 chevy truck stolen for those reasons.

i only know a few people its happened to but i have never even heard of mid size trucks stolen for those reasons, or stolen in general. they probably get stolen by kids joy riding but its not often enough that i have heard here but kids do steal vehicles to jump and burn on the beach, here.
