I have a 2018 Ford Fiesta and every winter the Tire Pressure Monitor goes off and the tires are fine. I realize pressure goes down a bit in the winter due to the cold weather Today the Tire Pressure Monitor went off on my 24 Ranger. I brought the monitor up and all 4 tires show 32lbs, but said my right front and right rear are low. These pressure monitors are junk.

Been working perfectly fine for me on my 2023 RR. Never had an issue in the 2.5 years of ownership
You're in Perth where it doesn't get real cold. I'm in Chicago where it's winter now and the temps been getting down to 5F -15C

Thurday it's getting down to -7F -21.6C

I only have the Tire Monitoring issue in the winter when it's cold

The warning for low pressure is going to be a delta from the pressure they were calibrated at. If they’re giving you a low pressure warning at the same pressure, the tires were at different pressures when they were calibrated.

What’s the recommended cold pressure for your truck?

Try overinflating then bleeding down to your target.

I went in for an oil change at the dealer and to have the Tire Monitor reset. All 4 tires were brought up to 35lbs when I picked the truck up., and the Tire Monitor light was not on. I'll check the door sticker tomorrow.

I know on my 25 XLT the recommended cold pressure on the sticker said 35. That’s what I fill mine to. However my tire monitor has showed them at 30 recently this winter and it has not thrown the alarm at me. Only time I have had a vehicle warn me about low tire pressure was when I had a slow leak in a different vehicle just over a year ago. The pressure had dipped under 25 psi. Figure the threshold must be like 27 or 25.
something I typically see with the Ranger though, is that when I take the pressure with my gauge, it reads 2-3 psi more then the monitor on the truck.

Mine comes in around 27 or 25 too. Found out from a slow leak caused by a nail

Maybe you need to get your tire dealer to reset them properly with their software. Ford dealer should be able to do it also. I have three vehicles that all have tpms and never have any issues except on two when I get my tire guy to switch from summer tires to winter tires and then he always checks his computer to ensure they are set up properly. As I don't change the tires on the Vette, it's never an issue.

I just checked the two stickers on the door frame and they bother said 38 lbs, so the dealer inflated my tires to 3 lbs under. I'll bump them up to 38 lbs

I have a 2017 ford focus and a 2024 ford ranger. I live in IL and have never had any issues with the TPMS on either vehicle in the winter.

Anytime either car alerts, upon further inspection the tire pressure always is low and needs a top off.

I'm in Minnesota and have not had trouble in the 20 years I've had pressure monitors.
