Got the Softopper on today. Install wasn’t terrible, but there were some hiccups. A couple of the spring buttons wouldn’t align to their corresponding holes. I tried all kinds of things, but ended up having to drill them out. This probably added almost an hour to the install since during the tinkering to try and get the buttons to align, my finger got caught and took off a pretty considerable chunk. Fun new blood spots on the garage floor now. Figured as it happened maybe two minutes after I took my gloves off for better dexterity

I also did it by myself. I don’t think this is an issue; it’s not difficult. But with it being brand new fabric and doing this in 30-something degree temperatures, it was a BEAR to get the snaps on. The snugness actually tweaked the mounting rails inward which makes the rear window flap bar mount not how I’d like. Everything works. I think I’ll just need to go back and readjust mounting once this thing loosens up a bit.

All in all, I think it’s pretty rad. A bit chuffed on needing to drill out the holes. There is some general direction on forward/aft placement, which I followed, but I’m thinking it may should be half an inch or maybe more closer to the cab. I’ll ride with it for a while and see where it goes. I was on the fence for tan vs black, but after my install experience… black is here to stay!

Ok, what OEM wheel did you have and what did you do with them?

Today I added Method 703’s and a Ford hard folding bed cover.
Debating on the ADD edge bumper next, but I’m being quoted insane rates on an install… Amazing how every shop in Denver is bursting with pride…their labor rates are borderline delusional!
love the polished wheels!

Completed stereo update of the B&O system installation using the Focal IS 690's and IC 165's (the "made for Ford versions), Kicker CSC35 center ( I prefer a bright tweeter) and sound deadening using a 30 square foot box of Siless 3mm mat. (thanks for the youtube video flaberdoopin) notes as follows
1) The made for Ford Focal speakers are worth the price to eliminate any hassle. all speakers bolted directly in, or snapped in in the case of the tweeter. No soldering, no extra mounts or purchase of gaskets required. Speakers work great with no changes to B&O system. All the changes resulted in tighter low end and bright sound stage.
2) DO NOT be afraid of marking up the bolt covers on the 2025 Lariat passenger grab handle when you remove them, they are very pliable and come right out without hassle, this was actually my biggest concern...I have had others in the past where the A pillar had marks and caused my OCD to go nuts
3) the 30 square feet of sound mat in the box was enough to cover 4 doors outer skin, many areas of the inner skin of 4 doors and ~90% of the area behind the seat. subwoofer and amp come out easily. I unbolted the rear seat from the floor but did not remove it...I am small and had plenty of room to work that way and get the sound mat installed.
4) the kicker 3.5" come with crimp connections, but I soldered the wires and used heat shrink...quick job. I did cut the center speaker harness instead of doing something cleaver...I plan on keeping the truck for a while and the speaker was not that expensive
5) I did NOT add a second layer of closed cell foam behind the speaker. low end is no longer "boomy" like it was when everything was stock. Doors no longer sound like a tin can when you close them.

Finished my suspension shenanigans -- back to stock springs and 2"/1" GOAT spacers. 315/70r17 K03 tires on Method 703 +35 wheels. No more driveline vibration!

Nice, how much trimming to get that all to fit you think?

Is your spare same size and if so, did it fit w/o issues?

I guess the other thing is you have an aftermarket front bumper right, so might make a diff on clearance for fronts?

I do like those wheels in bronze.
